As a Product Manager – IaC Detection, you will define, build, and launch capabilities that proactively detect infrastructure issues in code (e.g. Terraform, Helm) before they can be deployed into production and escalate into production incidents. The Infrastructure Monitoring team has pioneered shift-left detection in the industry with Bits Infrastructure Operations , and we’re looking for a Product Manager to expand this capability to a broader set of use cases Customers (and thus developers) are increasingly standardizing on IaC tools to deploy and maintain ever-growing infrastructure in the cloud. Someone has to meet those needs at the speed they arise. That's this role. As a lead learning experience designer, you'll own a fast-paced, high-volume learning design track focused on short, targeted, just-in-time courses — typically 15–45 minutes each, built in sprints of three weeks or less, shipping roughly 15+ courses per year. You'll build focused one-off courses that plug specific gaps: a new workflow, a role-specific skill, a tool that just shipped, an AI topic that can't wait for the next curriculum cycle. These courses are standalone, purpose-built, and often shorter-lived — responding to the moment. You'll work both proactively (scanning for emerging needs) and reactively (fielding requests from across the company and from customers). About the Team OpenAI's Industrial Compute organization is building and operating the infrastructure foundation for the next generation of AI. Infrastructure Operations works across facilities, hardware, network operations, incident management, data center engineering, delivery teams, and external partners to bring capacity online safely, understand its operational state, and improve it over time. As OpenAI's data center portfolio grows across first-party and partner-delivered capacity, the organization needs clear goals, trusted data, repeatable processes, and systems that make ownership, risk, readiness, and performance visible. About the Team OpenAI’s mission is to ensure that general-purpose artificial intelligence benefits all of humanity. We believe that achieving our goal requires effective engagement with public policy stakeholders and the broader community impacted by AI. Accordingly, our Global Affairs team builds authentic, collaborative relationships with public officials and the broader AI policymaking community to inform and support our shared work in these domains. We ensure that insights from policymakers inform our work and – in collaboration with our colleagues and external stakeholders – seek to shape policy so that it aligns with and supports our mission. About the Role As AI agents move from answering questions to taking action across the internet, the standards that govern identity, delegated authority, discovery, communications, agentic-commerce and payment interfaces, agent-facing web access, agent-specific provenance, and auditability will determine whether agents can operate safely, interoperably, and with clear accountability. This role will work closely with Agent Security, Applied and Platform teams, Product, Legal, GRC, Global Affairs, and GTM to turn OpenAI’s technical architecture and controls into credible specifications, protocol profiles, assurance criteria, and implementation guidance—and to bring emerging external requirements back into product and security roadmaps before they become blockers. The positions developed here are technical standards positions, not broad public-policy positions. This is a builder’s role as much as an external-facing role. You will execute a prioritized standards plan, author and negotiate protocols, build coalitions, secure the right internal approvals, and represent OpenAI in assigned technical forums.
