About the Team The Intelligence and Investigations team is dedicated to ensuring the safe, responsible deployment of AI by rapidly detecting and mitigating abuse. Our team leverages the latest testing methodologies to uncover vulnerabilities and emerging threats, helping safeguard OpenAI’s products and users. We work closely with cross-functional partners across product, policy, and engineering to drive a comprehensive defense strategy against evolving adversarial challenges. About the Role As a Red Team Specialist focused on cyber, you will help answer two practical questions: What cyber capabilities can our models provide to real-world attackers, and do our safeguards remain effective when those attackers use increasingly sophisticated techniques? The role combines scaled evaluation with expert-driven testing. You may bring deeper experience in cybersecurity and use that expertise to judge whether a model’s behavior meaningfully changes attacker capability. Alternatively, you may bring deeper experience in model evaluations, automation, or agentic harnesses and apply those skills to building rigorous cyber testing. We do not expect every candidate to be equally deep in both areas, but successful candidates will have a strong foundation in one and enough fluency in the other to work effectively across the boundary. Most of your work will focus on model cyber capabilities and safeguards; you will also spend a portion of your time testing novel abuse risks in agentic systems. This role is located in San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role, you will: Design and run rigorous evaluations of model cyber capabilities and safeguards, including policy adherence, correct refusal, over refusal, and resilience to jailbreaking and other adversarial techniques. Conduct hands-on testing to understand what models can enable when used by experienced security practiti

About the Team OpenAI’s Forward Deployed Engineering team partners with leading semiconductor companies to deploy production-grade AI systems across the entire chip design lifecycle: design, verification, and physical design. We operate at the intersection of customer delivery and core platform development, embedding deeply with customers to translate frontier model capabilities into systems that materially improve engineering workflows and accelerate innovation. Our work turns early, high-touch deployments into repeatable solution patterns, reference architectures, and evaluation practices that scale across the semiconductor ecosystem. About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Design Engineer to join our semiconductor-focused Forward Deployed Engineering team. This is a senior IC role that will begin with a strong emphasis on physical design expertise, technical judgment, advisory leverage, and customer credibility, with the expectation that the person will grow into a broader Forward Deployed Engineering role over time. In the near term, you will serve as the team’s physical design SME across semiconductor deployments: helping FDEs, Product, and Research understand backend implementation workflows, pressure-test AI-assisted solution ideas against real physical design constraints, and raise the quality of our customer-facing technical work. You will help the broader team build fluency in implementation flows, EDA tooling, signoff methodology, and the trade-offs that shape physical design decisions in practice. Over time, we expect this role to expand beyond SME support into broader FDE ownership: partnering directly with customers, shaping deployment strategy, building and iterating production-grade AI systems, driving technical workstreams, and helping turn high-touch semiconductor deployments into repeatable solutions. This is a strong fit for someone who brings deep physical design expertise today and is excited to grow into a customer-facing, syst

About the Role We are looking for a People Systems Lead to manage the People Systems team and shape how our core systems evolve. You will be responsible for the reliability and effectiveness of our current environment while helping us move beyond the constraints of traditional enterprise software. This includes stabilizing and improving platforms such as Workday and Ashby, designing the integrations that connect them to the broader technology ecosystem, and partnering with People Innovation Labs to surface workflows through OpenHouse, Slack, and AI-powered experiences. This role requires someone who is comfortable moving between strategy, technical design, and team leadership. You should understand People systems deeply, be able to work through integration and architecture decisions with engineers, and translate complex organizational needs into scalable solutions. You will also manage vendor relationships, develop the People Systems team, and drive alignment across People, Engineering, Finance, Security, Legal, and other partners. This role could be a fit for someone who has grown up in People S
About the Team OpenAI is building the world’s most advanced AI infrastructure ecosystem. The Site Readiness & Development team owns the upstream diligence and development work required to convert powered-land opportunities into executable infrastructure options. About the Role The Site Selection Lead sets the site-selection strategy for powered-land and greenfield/brownfield opportunities. This role defines, with cross-functional partners, what makes a site attractive, executable, and scalable, then turns that shared rubric into portfolio choices and deployment plans. Key Responsibilities Own the site-selection strategy across priority geographies, including market maps, pipeline segmentation, source refreshes, live-location tracking, and portfolio prioritization. Convene Power, Land, Development, Engineering, Construction, Environmental, Community, Commercial, Legal, and Finance partners to define the shared rubric for a high-quality site. Translate that rubric into clear screening criteria across power readiness, land control, timing, scale, cost, community risk, environmental constraints, AHJ path, budget, schedule, and counterparty credibility. Orchestrate Commercial, Legal, Finance, Power, and Development teams to shape exclusivity, initial terms, site-control strategy, funding assumptions, and the path to deployment before deeper commitment. Build a deployment plan for top candidates that identifies capacity, sequencing, capital implications, critical-path approvals, risks, owners, and stage-gate decisions. Lead conceptual site planning and test-fit screening using boundaries, map layers, buildings, substations, roads, parking, laydown, stormwater, utility corridors, acreage, and estimated load. Maintain a single decision-support view of pipeline stage, site health, power readiness, finance review, maps, project evidence, outstanding source data, owners, deadlines, and escalations. You’re also excited to use AI in your own work and help the team discover better ways to plan, create, and deliv
