Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to to ship AI products. THE ROLE Container runtimes were designed for general-purpose software workloads. AI inference is not a general-purpose workload. Running large models at production scale exposes cracks in every layer of the container stack: runtimes unaware of GPU memory constraints, images that take minutes to pull when a model needs to scale to thousands of replicas, and isolation mechanisms that weren't designed for the multi-tenant serving environments that production AI requires. The tools the industry has relied on for a decade weren't built for this, and patching around those limitations at higher layers only goes so far. Baseten owns the entire pipeline, from the moment a developer pushes a model to the moment a request gets a response. That vertical ownership means we can fix these problems at the root. The Runtime Fabrics team is doing exactly that: purpose-building the container runtime and storage layers for AI inference workloads, led by some of the world's top containerd maintainers. As Engineering Manager of the Runtime Fabrics team, you will lead this work, setting technical direction, growing a world-class team of systems engineers, and ensuring the team's output shapes not just Baseten's infrastructure but the open-source container ecosystem at large. If you've contributed to containerd, runc, or related OCI projects and are ready to lead a team solving some of the hardest problems in infrastructure today, we'd love

In this role, you will play a critical part in bringing our technical support entirely in-house to provide a seamless, high-touch experience for all Baseten employees. As we continue to scale, you will be the primary point of contact for day-to-day technical issues, allowing you to have a direct impact on our team's productivity and overall office environment. This position is ideal for a hands-on problem solver who enjoys a mix of hardware and software troubleshooting, user lifecycle management, and maintaining the physical IT infrastructure of a modern office. While you will focus heavily on elevating our internal support standards, you will also assist with systems administration and workflow automation as our company evolves. This is a hybrid role based out of our San Francisco or New York office, following our standard policy of three days per week in-person to ensure our physical office and AV systems remain high-performing and reliable. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to to ship AI products. We are looking for an engineer with strong experience in machine learning and solid foundations in maths and computer science to join our growing Post-Training team at Baseten. Custom models are instrumental to the success of Baseten customers. By inference volume, the overwhelming majority of traffic at Baseten is to and from models that have been post-trained in some way, whether that be through reinforcement learning, supervised finetuning, a recent technique from the literature, or an in-house research technique from Baseten. The Post-Training team is responsible for the success of our customers’ post-trained models, and we employ a wide array of techniques to produce models that are more efficient and higher quality than even the biggest closed source models for the customer’s specific needs. Your role as a research engineer is to build the in-house tooling to support all of this. We care about training a wide spectrum of different model architectures with a variety of techniques efficiently and at scale. At times this involves zooming deep into a particular technical topic, but more often if involves working across the stack as a whole - systems-level concepts like Kubernetes, cgroups, storage systems, and networking topologies, as well as PyTorch distributed tensor computation, and GPU kernels. THE ROLE We're looking for a Marketing Operations Manager who can own and harden the systems layer of Baseten's Marketing engine. Marketing at Baseten is scaling fast — more spend, more campaigns, more model launches, more inbound. The systems underneath (Our ESP, CRMs, forms, tracking, routing, alerting) need an owner who treats them like production infrastructure that cannot go down. When something breaks, it costs us time, pipeline, and trust in the data. This role exists so it doesn't break. You’ll simultaneously build for the future and re-think assumptions about our tech stack in the age of agents. This is an offensive play that gives the rest of the team leverage and superpowers to hit our ambitious goals. This is NOT an IT or service role. This is a core member of the marketing team who implements technology to achieve outcomes. RESPONSIBILTIES Own the marketing tech stack end-to-end: ad platforms, email systems, tracking, pixels, forms, connectors. Build defense-in-depth on inbound: spam/bot protection, rate limiting, email/domain validation, sync gating — and the alerting to catch anomalies before they hit sales or leadership dashboards. Enforce data integrity: UTM governance, campaign membership, lifecycle stages, lead scoring and routing logic, field-level hygiene, canonical metric definitions. Operationalize the web request pipeline with our dev agency: structured briefs, tickets, SLAs, and launch-day runb

You are a people-first leader with a strong cloud infrastructure background. You set a high bar for reliability and operational excellence, engage credibly in technical discussions and code reviews, and know how to build a culture of ownership and accountability. This is a foundational, high-ownership role for someone who wants to define how a company runs procurement, not inherit an existing process. As the company scales across engineering, GTM, and corporate functions, we need to build purchasing workflows and vendor relationships. This is a rare, critical-moment hire: you'll set the leading-practice processes, systems, and policies that the company runs on as it continues to grow, with the mandate and dedicated focus to build something built to scale. This role exists to make procurement a source of leverage for the business, not friction. Your goal is to build scalable process, take on vendor management and RFP work that today sits informally with individual teams, and free up business owners' time and capacity, all while building the guardrails the company needs as it grows. You'll partner closely with Finance, Legal, Security, Compliance, IT, and business owners across the company, and you'll be judged on whether teams feel supported and unblocked, not slowed down.
