About the Team OpenAI’s Agentic Data Science team helps shape how AI agents are built, deployed, and improved across our products. We partner with product, engineering, research, and security teams to define meaningful measures of success, understand how our systems behave in the real world, and translate evidence into better decisions. As AI agents become more capable, they can write and execute code, access sensitive systems, and complete increasingly complex tasks with greater autonomy. These capabilities create powerful opportunities to improve cybersecurity, but they also introduce risks that traditional security tools and processes were not designed to address. Meeting this moment requires new ways to measure security, evaluate defenses, and distinguish genuine risk reduction from friction that slows users down. About the Role We are looking for a senior data scientist to help define what effective cybersecurity looks like in the age of AI agents. You will work across OpenAI’s Security organization and cybersecurity product teams to measure emerging risks, improve internal security controls, and shape AI-powered security products. The problems are foundational: How do we know whether an agent’s security controls are effective? Which safeguards meaningfully reduce risk, and which create unnecessary friction? When an AI system identifies a potential vulnerability, how do we determine whether the finding is accurate, actionable, and ultimately resolved? How do we detect anomalous behavior or risky access when the systems themselves are changing rapidly? You will report into Data Science while partnering closely with Security, Cyber Product, Engineering, and Research. This is a high-ownership role for someone who can establish a new analytical discipline, operate across organizational boundaries, and turn ambiguous security challenges into measurable improvements. In This Role You Will Define how we measure AI-agent security. Establish metrics and evaluation frame

About the Team The People Technology team builds and operates the systems that support how OpenAI hires, develops, and supports its people. The team brings together People Systems and People Innovation Labs, a product engineering group focused on rethinking how we find and retain exceptional talent and help employees do their best work. People Systems owns the company’s core people-technology ecosystem, including platforms such as Workday and Ashby. People Innovation Labs builds new employee and People Team experiences on top of that foundation, including OpenHouse, our internal employee hub, and AI-powered products and automations. Together, we are working toward a model in which our enterprise systems provide reliable data, controls, and core business logic, while employees and managers can complete more of their work through simple, integrated, and AI-native experiences. About the Role We are looking for a People Systems Lead to manage the People Systems team and shape how our core systems evolve. You will be responsible for the reliability and effectiveness of our current environment while helping us move beyond the constraints of traditional enterprise software. This includes stabilizing and improving platforms such as Workday and Ashby, designing the integrations that connect them to the broader technology ecosystem, and partnering with People Innovation Labs to surface workflows through OpenHouse, Slack, and AI-powered experiences. This role requires someone who is comfortable moving between strategy, technical design, and team leadership. You should understand People systems deeply, be able to work through integration and architecture decisions with engineers, and translate complex organizational needs into scalable solutions. You will also manage vendor relationships, develop the People Systems team, and drive alignment across People, Engineering, Finance, Security, Legal, and other partners. This role could be a fit for someone who has grown up in People S

About the Team Enterprise Verticals builds role-specific ChatGPT Work experiences for high-value enterprise workflows. We combine product engineering, plugins and skills, connectors, data, evaluations, and customer evidence to turn useful demos into reliable daily work. This opening sits within the Technology vertical inside Enterprise Verticals. The group focuses on repeatable workflows for people at technology companies, beginning with functions such as data and analytics, sales, and design, and carries the shared platform needs—tool integration, permissions, quality measurement, and safe rollout—across those experiences. We work closely with Design, Research, GTM, Security, and platform teams, as well as with customers and design partners. Success means that people can reach a trustworthy first result, understand what the system did, and keep using the workflow—not merely that a prototype exists. About the Role We are looking for an exceptionally experienced, hands-on full-stack engineer to define and build the next generation of AI-powered enterprise workflows. You will take on the hardest and most ambiguous problems in the Technology vertical: translating real customer needs into product direction, designing the systems behind the experience, and personally writing and shipping production-quality code across the stack. You will own the technical direction and end-to-end delivery of products spanning ChatGPT Work surfaces, backend services, plugins, connectors, enterprise data, permissions, and evaluations. You will make foundational architecture and product tradeoffs; establish patterns other engineers can build on; and hold these experiences to a high bar for reliability, security, observability, and customer value. This is an individual-contributor role for an engineer who leads through technical judgment, direct execution, and influence—not people management. You should be equally comfortable working directly with customers, setting direction with senior cro

About the Team The Early Access Program (EAP) team leads high-impact alpha programs at the intersection of customers, Product, Research, Engineering, GTM, Security, Legal, and launch teams. We partner with customers to test emerging capabilities with real-world use cases, surface actionable insights, and support launch decisions. Our team is made up of builders who learn quickly, collaborate deeply, create clarity in ambiguity, communicate openly, and iterate constantly. About the Role We’re hiring an Early Access Deployment Engineer to lead technical engagements with customers who are leveraging our frontier capabilities to solve real-world use cases. You will work at the earliest—and often messiest—stage of development, when capabilities are still unclear, tooling and processes are evolving, and the path from promising technology to a valuable real-world application has yet to be defined. You will be a hands-on builder, problem solver, and technical partner to customers and our research/product team. You’ll push beyond initial assumptions, identify high-value use cases, prototype solutions, design useful evaluations, and troubleshoot what is and is not working. Managing multiple customer engagements at once, you will help customers navigate ambiguity and difficult technical decisions while translating their experience into clear, actionable feedback for Research and Product. You will also own the end-to-end execution of early access programs—from onboarding customers, supporting live experimentation, synthesizing findings, and informing launch decisions. You’ll collaborate deeply with Research, Product, Engineering, Applied Evals, GTM, Legal, Security, Marketing, and other launch partners to create clarity, manage risk, and keep programs moving through changing conditions. Success in this role means turning frontier capabilities into real-world customer value and high-quality research signals. You will develop reusable technical approaches from early deployments,
