About Ramp Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books. The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving. We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome. The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same. If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it. About the Role We are hiring a Software Engineer to build systems across Fraud, UIM (User & Identity Management), and Identity. This role sits at the intersection of security, risk decisioning, and product experience. You will help build detection and enforcement capabilities for fraud and account takeover, as well as the identity primitives that power authentication, authorization, and safe account access. This work is deeply cross-functional. You will partner closely with Fraud Ops, Risk Strategy, Security, Product, and Data to ship improvements that are measurable in loss reduction, attack containment, and user experience. What You’ll Do Build and evolve backend services that detect and prevent fraud across multiple surfaces, including account access and money movement. Develop enforcement and response tooling that enables fast, safe actions such as identity locks, business locks, payment freezes, and other containment levers. Improve protections against account takeover (ATO), including risk-based step-ups, monitoring, and targeted friction

About the Role As a software engineer on the AI Soltuions team, you will co-lead customer engagements with an AI Solutions Strategist . The Strategist owns business discovery, ROI narrative, stakeholder alignment, and rollout planning. The engineer owns technical discovery, solution design, prototyping, implementation, and production readiness. This is a deeply client-facing role. You will spend significant time with customers and end users, moving projects from bootcamp and workflow discovery through implementation, launch, and steady production usage. About the Role Ramp's Dev API team builds the programmatic surfaces that let developers and AI agents read from and write to Ramp. We are an AI-focused platform team making it trivially easy for any engineer at Ramp (or outside it) to ship new capabilities across all surfaces. Our ideal candidate thinks agent-first, has strong opinions on developer experience, and wants to define how software interacts with financial infrastructure at scale. Check out our Engineering Blog for more on our tech stack, mission, and values! What You'll Do Build and operate Ramp's multi-surface platform with a high bar for reliability, correctness, and developer experience across tens of thousands of businesses. Serve thousands of builders and partners using our API, driving a large fraction of Ramp’s revenue, and deliver on a massive business opportunity to embed Ramp everywhere. The Ramp Revenue team is building an AI-native operating system for Go-to-Market teams. We turn fragmented customer context, communication history, and business signals into trusted agents that can identify opportunities, recommend actions, and execute real revenue work. This is a frontend-focused role for an engineer who obsesses over interaction design and complex product workflows, but is just as comfortable shaping the APIs and data contracts behind them. You’ll own the surfaces revenue teams actually use: agent-generated work, account and opportunity intelligence, approvals, workflow configuration, and execution experiences that bring together customer data, AI reasoning, and human judgment. If you want your frontend work to sit at the center of production agent systems—rather than being added after the intelligence and workflow decisions have already been made—this is the role. You’ll own full-cycle recruiting across early-career roles and internships, partnering closely with hiring teams to identify, assess, and close exceptional candidates. A big part of the job is finding talent before everyone else does. You’ll build relationships with students and early-career candidates, develop new ways to reach high-potential talent, and help create an exceptional experience from a candidate’s first interaction with Ramp through offer and, for our interns, potential conversion to full-time. You’ll also have the opportunity to improve how we operate, test new approaches, and help shape a growing Emerging Talent function.
