Team description At Datadog, AI agents are becoming first-class consumers of observability, security, and software delivery data — from third-party coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot, to our own Bits SRE, Bits Assistant, and Bits Dev Agent. The Agentic Interfaces team owns the platform that connects these agents to Datadog: the MCP Server, the tools and retrieval surfaces agents call into, and — critically — the evaluation systems that tell us whether an agent's experience on Datadog data is actually getting better over time. This role is about that last piece. We're hiring a Staff Applied Scientist to define what "good" means for an Agentic interface at Datadog and to build the measurement systems that make it true. "Good" isn't one number — it spans answer quality, tool-selection accuracy, retrieval relevance, latency, token cost, and end-to-end agent success on real customer workflows. You'll design the evals, build the datasets, define the metrics, and partner with the AI engineers on the team to land the platform that lets every product group at Datadog ship integrations that are demonstrably better release over release. The space is full of open research questions. How do you evaluate an agent end-to-end when the trajectory is non-deterministic? How do you score tool selection when the tool catalog has hundreds of entries and grows weekly? How do you build a measurement system that catches regressions across first-party and third-party agents at once, without each team writing their own harness? If those are the problems you want to spend your time on, come build this with us. Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply. What You’ll Do: Own the evaluation strategy for Datadog's AI agent integrations. Define the metrics — offline and online, quali

As the Engineering Manager for Commercial Audit, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for scaling Datadog’s security and compliance posture through automation, tooling, and engineering excellence. Our GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) function is a critical partner to the broader Security and Engineering organizations, ensuring that Datadog not only meets rigorous global regulatory standards but does so in a way that is efficient, scalable, and integrated into our cloud-native infrastructure. You will manage a team of engineers and analysts who are transitioning to a GRC engineering direction to treat compliance as a software problem, leveraging AI, custom tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native services to turn complex regulatory requirements into actionable, automated controls. You will lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of Datadog’s Commercial Audit initiatives. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will grow a team of engineers and analysts responsible for directly maintaining our compliance programs and related audits (e.g., SOC2, PCI, HIPAA, ISO) while looking to improve efficiency and effectiveness through platforms and tooling. You will act as a bridge between technical engineering, legal, and compliance, enabling the organization to move fast while maintaining a secure and compliant environment. You will champion a culture of "compliance-as-code," identifying opportunities to automate evidence collection, streamline control testing, and reduce manual toil for both your team and our partner engineering teams. At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds, and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them. About Us: AI needs a new infrastructure layer. We're building it at Modal. Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now. Our customers include category-defining companies like Lovable , Ramp , Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale. We recently raised a $355M Series C at a $4.65B valuation, led by General Catalyst and Redpoint Ventures. We've crossed $300M+ ARR and grown fivefold since September. Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g., Seaborn , Luig i ), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience. The Role: We're looking for strong backend engineers who love building a developer tools used by the largest AI companies in the world. You’ll be building for things at scale, but also for new AI workflows that change every day. Requirements: Experience building and shipping modern web applications end-to-end. We care more about what you’ve built than how many years you’ve been building. Comfort working across the stack: TypeScript on the frontend, Python services on the backend, and ClickHouse for data and analytics. Deep knowledge of observability tools and patterns used for large-scale workloads such as custom sandboxes, training and inference for large language (LLM) and diffusion models. Experience with at least one of: billing/payments systems, B2B SaaS tooling, or enterprise software, or LLM / diffusion models inference and training loads. Strong product instincts; yo

VP, Product Insurance underwriting runs on human judgment, manual workflows, and knowledge locked in someone's head. It breaks when that person leaves and doesn't scale when the book doubles. Sixfold is building AI agents that understand risk the way a 20-year veteran underwriter does. Not summaries or flags, but systems that make real decisions on billions in premium for some of the world's largest carriers. AI is the product, the workflow, and the moat. If you think in systems, move fluidly from research to pixels, and are energized by designing AI-native experiences where the best practices haven't been written yet — this role was made for you. Who We Are 🏔 Product: Sixfold is the AI brain for underwriting. Our platform handles submissions at scale, assessing risk against appetite, surfacing cited insights, and deploying AI agents to handle research, referrals, and triage so underwriters can focus on building profitable portfolios. 💪 Team: A focused team of insurance operators, AI researchers, and engineers who love hard problems. We've pushed the boundaries of what AI can do with unstructured data — from teaching AI to understand that a bakery in Florida faces different risks than one in Montana, to knowing when a manufacturing company's pivot from toys to medical devices fundamentally changes their risk profile. We ship fast and stay close to customers. 📈 Traction: Processing billions in premium for some of the world's largest carriers. We know AI. We know underwriting. We're building what comes next. About the Role You'll inherit a strong product and a capable team, but that's the starting point, not the job. The job is figuring out what underwriting becomes once AI stops assisting and starts deciding, and getting there faster than the market expects. You prototype to find out, not to perform speed. You're drawn to this problem because the underwriter of the future is one of the more interesting design problems in software right now. In this role, you will:
