About the Team The International Strategy & Operations team supports the growth and management of OpenAI’s business outside the United States. We work across products, markets, and functions to ensure our technology reaches and benefits users and customers around the world. Our team is responsible for being the glue between global and regional teams—bringing together market performance, local context, and cross-functional priorities to create a clear plan for winning in international markets. We advocate for the regional leaders closest to our users and customers, while giving company leadership the ground truth and structured recommendations needed to make the right decisions and tradeoffs. About the Role We are looking for a world-class, scrappy, and dynamic strategy and operations leader who spikes in analytical thinking, business judgment, executive communication, and operational execution. You will work closely with global leadership, regional general managers, and cross-functional partners to identify growth opportunities, build operating plans, and drive high-priority initiatives from conception through execution. You will be expected to operate at all altitudes—from translating complex market dynamics into clear recommendations for senior executives to working directly with product, growth, data science, and go-to-market teams to unblock execution. Success in this role requires the ability to bring structure to ambiguity, turn data into actionable insights, influence without authority, and drive meaningful business outcomes across a fast-moving and increasingly global organization. In this role, you will: Build the operating plan. Translate strategic priorities into clear goals, workstreams, owners, milestones, and decisions. Identify cross-functional dependencies early and ensure teams remain aligned on execution. Drive market growth initiatives. Work with product, growth, marketing, data science, and regional teams to identify and execute opportunities

What you’ll do Own day-to-day operations for the scanner program and scanner builds in the spa: purchasing/procurement, vendor management, receiving, inventory, and logistics. Stand up lightweight production operations as we move from prototypes to repeatable builds: build planning, kitting, work instructions, and readiness checklists. Partner with Quality to ensure the operational system supports compliance: traceability, document control, training records, NCR/CAPA workflows, and audit readiness. Drive cross-functional execution for the physical spa build-out and scanner integration: schedules, dependencies, risk register, and weekly coordination with vendors and internal teams. Own the “integration glue” across facilities + device ops: commissioning plans, acceptance criteria, and operational handoff (runbooks, maintenance, spares, escalation paths). Build and track operational metrics: cost, budget, lead times, vendor performance, build throughput, and reliability of critical subsystems. Audit of import/export documentation, management of contract renewals, regulatory compliance. What we’re looking for Proven operations leadership in hardware/medical/robotics (or similarly complex electromechanical products), including procurement and vendor management. Strong program management instincts: can run schedules, unblock cross-functional dependencies, and keep priorities clear under ambiguity. Comfort operating in quality/regulatory environments and building processes that are rigorous without slowing a small team. High ownership and bias to action: can jump between spreadsheets, docks, and the lab/site to keep the program moving. Useful experience Experience running prototype-to-production transitions (NPI, EVT/DVT/PVT-style builds, CM/EMS collaboration). Facilities / construction operations experience (GC coordination, MEP commissioning, site readiness). Familiarity with inventory systems and procurement tooling (even “simple but disciplined”).

About the Team The People Operations team owns the systems, processes, and programs that make the employee lifecycle run — from day one through every transition in between. We believe that clean data, simple workflows, and well-designed technology are what let the rest of the People & Talent function do its best work. About the Role We're looking for a People Operations Manager who can look at a messy, ambiguous problem and turn it into a clear plan — then execute it. Day-to-day, you'll own our HR technology stack, lead process transformation across the employee lifecycle, and serve as the go-to partner for Payroll, IT, Legal, and the broader People & Talent team when something needs to be built, fixed, or rethought. You'll work directly with vendors, HRBPs, and leadership to make sure our operations are scalable, compliant, and actually simple to use. In the first year, success means moving us from where we are to where we should be: better-configured systems, documented processes, and a team that trusts what's in our tools. Responsibilities Lead HR operations programs end-to-end — define scope, owners, milestones, risks, and success measures, often starting from an undefined brief. Serve as the primary functional owner for core People technology platforms (e.g., HRIS, ATS, LMS, performance tools), including configuration, upgrades, and feature evaluation. Lead technology deployments, platform conversions, and module rollouts, coordinating across IT, HRIS, and vendor teams. Research and benchmark HR technology trends to build and maintain a People tech roadmap that supports scale. Apply AI and e

The Business Marketing team contributes to our broader mission of ensuring responsible and widespread adoption of artificial intelligence by developing and executing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and usage for OpenAI’s products and platform amongst core business audiences. The Strategy & Operations function supports Business Marketing with operating models and cadences; strategic planning; portfolio, resource, and investment management; measurement and organizational learning that empower our teams to move at pace with clarity and confidence. This is a hybrid role, based in San Francisco Bay Area (preferred) or New York City three days a week. About the Role Business Marketing moves quickly, and this role sits close to the work. You will partner with marketing leaders, Strategic Finance, Procurement, Data Science, agencies, and regional teams to plan and pace spend, manage commitments, answer urgent questions, and translate investment data into clear actions. This role is not for someone who prefers back-office operations. You will be embedded in the business, understand what teams are trying to achieve, and help them move faster with confidence.
