Job description
Position Objective: The Anestheisa Technologist will report to the Anesthesia Team Coordinator and Team Lead under the supervision of the unit Clinical Director. The Anesthesia Technologist will independently maintain and organize the anesthesia work space, equipment, and supplies. The AT, under supervision, will assist the Anesthesia provider, in multiple hospital locations, in preparation and performance of a variety of anesthesia functions. Essential Job Duties: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 1.) The Anesthesia Technologist will prepare the anesthesia machines for use by performing daily quality checks and ensuring optimal anesthesia machine function. 2.) Education/Experience Requirements: Required Minimum Education Associates degree or equivalent Successful completion of accredited Anesthesia Technician Program; 2 years experience as Anesthesia Technologist Preferred Experience Cardiac OR experience highly preferred Required License/Certifications: American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS ACLS required within 6 months of hire; Certification by the American Association of Anesthesia Technicians and Technologists (ASATT) Working Conditions, Equipment, Physical Demands: There is reasonable expectation that employees in this position will be exposed to blood-borne pathogens
