Job description

Assistant Controller – Construction Industry (Onsite) A well-established organization in the construction industry is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join its accounting team. This is a full-time, fully onsite position based in Gaithersburg, MD. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting fundamentals, prior construction experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare month-end journal entries, accruals, deferrals, and variance analysis Maintain general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, ensuring accuracy and completeness Reconcile cash accounts, balance sheet accounts, and subsidiary ledgers to the trial balance Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management reports Track fixed assets and record depreciation Record inventory adjustments from physical counts Assist with oversight of A
