About the Team Our New Verticals team launched in 2020 with the purpose of delighting our customers and empowering local communities outside of just restaurants. Since then, we’ve launched Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, Retail, and DashMarts while also building merchant services, dasher tooling and consumer products. New Verticals is the growth engine of DoorDash’s business and we are continuing to build and scale new businesses everyday! Grocery is one of our highest priority, most complex verticals that is key to acquiring consumers to new verticals outside of just restaurants. About the Role We are hiring a Senior Associate on our Grocery Merchant Strategy & Operations teams to work scaling the service offerings we can provide to consumers through our third party merchant partnerships with some of the most well known grocers and your local favorite grocers on our platform! In this role, you will lead growth projects for major Grocery merchants to ensure we are able to onboard every SKU or service a grocery store offers. This includes portfolio management, ideating and launching 0-1 initiatives across our merchants, onboarding merchants to new services and improving quality every step of the way. You will partner closely with product, engineering, finance, analytics and business development to bring these initiatives to life! These roles sit at the intersection of strategy, operations, and product. The best operators today are rapidly generating new ideas, taking ownership over metrics and moving them in the right direction through building product visions, synthesizing complex analyses and testing every idea — all while leveraging AI to uplevel how we operate. We are currently seeking a Contracts Specialist to serve as the main point of contact between the legal team and internal/external stakeholders regarding all contract management, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiation. This role will report to our Associate General Counsel. What You'll Do: Drafting, reviewing and negotiating all types of contracts, including client and vendor agreements, non-disclosure agreements, contract amendments and renewals, Statements of Work, data processing agreements, SaaS agreements, etc., for global stakeholders in various company locations Responsible for managing Contracts Queue and coordination of all aspects of contract management Serve as primary contact between the legal department and internal and external stakeholders seeking contract review and revision, copies, questions, status updates etc. Review, respond and manage contracts-related questions within the Contracts inbox Manage Contract Template library and other knowledge management functions Ensure compliance with contract approval policies and procedures Liaise with Legal, Compliance, and Sales teams on contracts as needed Special projects on an as-needed basis What You Have: Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 3 years' experience working with contracts Law Degree is a big plus, but is not required Contract management experience, preferably in-house Experience reviewing, editing, interpreting and negotiating legal agreements Experience reviewing and negotiating corporate master services agreements Strong organizational and communications skills, ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks and projects, track and follow up on projects Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in
