1. Background of The Hans Foundation The Hans Foundation (THF), established in 2009, is a Public Charitable Trust working towards creating an equitable society and enhancing the quality of life of marginalized and underprivileged communities in India. THF works to improve the health and wellbeing of remote and underserved populations, with additional focus on children, persons with disabilities and women, alongside education and livelihood development. 2. Project Overview: Hans Health & Wellness Centre, Meghalaya The Hans Health & Wellness Centre project aims to strengthen access to essential healthcare for rural and hard-to-reach communities in Meghalaya. In its first phase, THF has committed to supporting 50 Sub-Centres through gap assessment, provision of equipment and facilities, deployment of skilled human resources, training, regular operations and monitoring.
