Job Description: Perform “Make Ready” for jobs: Read job jackets for all information; Make sure the machine is set up correctly for each job; check work against Proof/Dummy for position and correctness; Fill out Bindery Checklists for approval; clarify information with supervisor as needed. Have knowledge in Setups or willing to learn, set up or operate MBO/Stahl folders, know general maintenance of machines. Have working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, procedures and terminology within the offset Bindery Field (wrinkles, dog ears, scum, dryup, out of Register, Guide, Off Guide, Gripper, Tail of Sheet and Offset. Operate the machine to automatically fold, slit and score printed sheets. Enter production data into a computer-based task tracking system that monitors daily production.
