Opportunity Overview: We are seeking a Sr Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Intelligence team. In this role, you will drive the development and optimization of our analytical infrastructure, enabling efficient, scalable, and consistent reporting and analytics across the organization. You will play a critical role in shaping the foundation of our BI ecosystem—working at the intersection of engineering, data modeling, and stakeholder enablement. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced BI engineer who can execute cross-functional projects, design performant data models, and contribute to the execution of a unified data strategy across platforms. Qualification
3+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or data engineering, preferably in healthcare or another data-rich, regulated domain. Expert-level proficiency in SQL and strong hands-on experience with modern BI and analytics engineering frameworks (e.g., dbt or similar). Extensive experience working with healthcare data domains such as claims, members, providers, eligibility, authorizations, or utilization management. Deep expertise in Tableau (Cloud, Desktop, Prep), including Tableau APIs, dashboard embedding, row-level security, performance optimization, and administration. Proven experience designing scalable data models that support both enterprise reporting and ad hoc analysis. Strong understanding of dimensional modeling principles, normalization vs. denormalization tradeoffs, and analytical performance tuning. Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow. Hands-on experience working in AWS-based data platforms. Demonstrated ability to mentor or functionally lead a small team, providing technical direction and enforcing standards.
