Job description
We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer to join the HMB team. This position calls for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who will support our planning, design, and execution of various civil engineering projects related to landscape and site development. This position may be located in either the HMB Lexington or Louisville office. Responsibilities: Assist in designing and developing civil engineering projects related to site design and land development, including streets/roads. Oversee stormwater management and various utility infrastructure components. Collaborate with senior project team members to understand project requirements and objectives, ensuring the integration of functional and aesthetic elements. Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution. Eligible for licensure as a Professional Engineer with a focus on Civil Engineering in Kentucky (if not currently licensed). Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) and Civil 3D software. Knowledge of civil engineering principles, theories, and practices emphasizing site development. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, particularly in land development and design. Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with diverse teams and clients. Prior internship or work experience in civil engineering or land development.
