Job description
Primary Responsibilities: Review and accurately assign E/M codes for outpatient, inpatient & surgery physician services in accordance with current coding guidelines. Ensure compliance with CPT, ICD-10-CM, CMS, and payer-specific regulations. Analyze medical documentation to determine the appropriate level of service based on Medical Decision Making (MDM), time, and other applicable guidelines. Conduct coding audits and provide feedback to providers when necessary. Maintain productivity and quality standards established by the organization.
