Based on site, the Engineer will oversee roadway and construction projects, including inspections, quality control, and administration. Coordinate with ODOT staff, municipal agencies, other subconsultants, and utility companies to ensure seamless project delivery. Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources. Prepare technical reports, memos, and presentations for stakeholders, clearly communicating proposed work, issues, and findings. Conduct or review material testing and quality assurance. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, construction, and administrative teams to solve technical and logistical challenges. Sixty (60) months (five (5) years) of relevant transportation engineering experience, including roadway, bridge, or construction engineering. Documented experience managing or leading construction activities on ODOT or similar DOT projects, including coordination with owners and clients. Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from a school with an ABET-accredited program, active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio, and ODOT Construction Engineer 2 (CE2) credential. Preferred Qualifications Strong understanding of ODOT specifications and quality assurance procedures. Effective communication and documentation skills. Proven ability to lead, organize, supervise, and evaluate staff’s work. Ability to independently plan, perform, and coordinate advanced-level professional and technical engineering studies, computations, drawings, and reports. Ability to coordinate engineering and construction activities with activities of other divisions and outside organizations.
