Job description

Are you calm under pressure, confident making decisions, and able to communicate effectively with people at every level of an organisation? We're looking for a Cyber Incident Manager to coordinate and manage cyber incidents from initial notification through to resolution. Whilst you'll work closely with technical specialists, this role is focused on project coordination, stakeholder management, communication, organisation and decision-making rather than hands-on technical cybersecurity. You will become the central point of coordination during an incident, ensuring the right people are engaged, actions are progressing, stakeholders are informed, and clients receive an exceptional experience during what is often a challenging and stressful time. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, professional confidence, excellent communication abilities and the judgement to assess information, make decisions and back themselves. Managing cyber incidents from triage through to resolution. Acting as the primary point of contact for clients during an incident. Coordinating technical specialists, investigators and support teams to ensure actions are completed. Leading incident calls and stakeholder meetings. Managing action plans, timelines, priorities and deliverables. Providing regular updates to clients, insurers, legal counsel and internal stakeholders. Translating technical information into clear business-focused communication. Working closely with executives and senior leaders to support decision making. Maintaining incident records, reports and documentation. Supporting lessons learned and continuous improvement activities. Building trusted relationships with clients and key stakeholders. Identifying risks, issues and opportunities for improvement throughout the incident lifecycle. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Confidence speaking with people at all levels, including CEOs, CFOs, General Managers, IT Managers and business owners. Strong decision-making skills and the confidence to make recommendations and stand behind them. Strong project coordination or project management skills. Excellent attention to detail and organisational capability. Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines. Strong written communication and report-writing skills. Professional judgement and problem-solving ability. Commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience. Highly Regarded Experience in incident management, project management, operations, client service, consulting or professional services environments. Experience coordinating complex projects or stakeholder groups. Cybersecurity knowledge is beneficial but not required. Experience working in insurance, legal, technology or risk-related industries. Love what you do: We show up each day ready to take on the world. Our passion and intensity set us apart and makes the difference to our colleagues, customers, brokers and carriers. Challenge everything: We’re never afraid to question the way that things are done and we constantly challenge ourselves and others to makes things better. Have fun, be good: Insurance is a serious business, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We make it fun to work at CFC, we welcome all viewpoints, and we treat everyone how we would expect to be treated.
