ABOUT THE ROLE: The fire protection engineer provides engineering design support and subject matter expertise in the following areas: fire protection, life safety, building and fire codes, fire hazard and risk assessment of materials and processes, fire and smoke spread, industrial fire hazards, fire investigation support, and other fire and life safety issues. RESPONSIBILITIES: Support engineering design, analysis, calculations and specifications for facility fire and life safety systems Develop building and fire code compliance documents and fire life safety designs for SpaceX launch facilities Perform hazardous material analysis for code compliances purposes, such as chemical classification, chemical quantity analysis, chemical inventory management, and related system design support Support facility construction teams to develop field solutions Support commissioning activities during pre-test and AHJ testing phases for launch site facility builds Conduct fire/life safety code reviews and analyses Prepare and present technical reports and presentations Review and comment on shop drawing design packages developed by contractors Develop AM&M (Alternate Means & Methods) t

ABOUT THE ROLE: Join the High Power Engineering team to design, set, commission, and maintain protection and control systems for large electrical infrastructure. As a Protection & Controls Engineer, you will own schemes and settings from the transmission interconnection through distribution, on-site generation, and battery energy storage, down to medium- and low-voltage buses serving data halls and other mission-critical loads. ABOUT THE ROLE: SpaceXSI is looking for an experienced network engineer with expertise in networking technologies that support routing, switching, dynamic multicast, Wi-Fi, network access control, automation, etc. This position will be directly involved with supporting and expanding our campus and data center infrastructure as well as our expansive wireless network using reliable and redundant design standards. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of large-scale, complex wired and wireless networks. Configure, install, and support campus and data center networks. ABOUT THE ROLE : The fire protection technician keeps facility fire and life safety systems working: fire suppression, sprinklers, fire alarm and detection, extinguishers, and related life safety equipment. This is a field role. You inspect, test, troubleshoot, and support the installation and commissioning of systems that protect people and high-density computing. GPU racks and industrial processes can and do catch fire. You will work with facilities, contractors, and the local fire marshal. You are not the design engineer of record. You are the technician who ensures the as-built system is installed, tested, and kept in service.
