Department: Education & Training Position Title: Part-Time Instructor Position Type: Part Time, Hourly Location: Haynes Early Education Center- 263 Blue Hill Ave, Roxbury, MA 02119 Compensation: $29.35 / hour Schedule: • October 27, 2026 – May 27, 2027 o Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45-4:15 PM, with occasional Wednesdays • 5- 7.5 paid hours/week About Us: The YMCA Education & Training Center is proud to launch a series of school-based Adult ESOL programs in collaboration with several Boston Public Hub Schools. We are committed to empowering adult learners and fostering community growth through education. We are seeking passionate and experienced ESOL instructors to join our team and help make a tangible difference in the lives of our students. Qualification
Bachelor's degree required; educational background preferred. • TESOL, TEFL, or TESL certification required. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Classroom. • Authorization to live and work in the U.S. • Strong understanding of and sensitivity to socio-economic and ethnic minority issues. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. • Willingness to engage in paid professional development activities. • Comfortable using web-based file storage platforms (e.g., Google Docs, SharePoint). • Bilingual is a plus.
