Position Summary The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Company's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs across battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing, warehouse, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and field operations. This position ensures compliance with applicable OSHA and regulatory requirements, identifies and mitigates workplace hazards, investigates incidents, manages safety training, and promotes a strong safety culture throughout the organization. JOB DESCRIPTION Develop, implement, and maintain Company safety policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations. Manage safety programs including Hazard Communication, LOTO, PPE, electrical safety, emergency response, fall protection, machine safety, and other applicable programs. Develop and maintain safety procedures specific to lithium-ion batteries and BESS operations, including thermal runaway, fire, electrical, chemical, and stored-energy hazards. Conduct routine facility, field, and project safety inspections and audits. Perform Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), risk assessments, and safety reviews for new equipment, processes, and projects. Lead investigations of injuries, near misses, property damage, battery incidents, and other safety events. Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions. SUMMARY The Commissioning engineer is responsible for executing the commissioning activities of utility-scale Battery Storage projects. The candidate will plan the commissioning activities, work through day-to-day issues and work closely with the project and product engineering teams and suppliers. The candidate will need to travel to the project sites to support the onsite BESS commissioning activity. JOB DESCRIPTION Build the onsite commissioning plan based on project conditions to ensure the project is commissioned on time with high quality. Provide the installation training to EPC before the project begins. Address customer inquiries regarding product installation and commissioning. Supervise the implementation of the planned commissioning activities, managing on-site quality, safety, and progress in stages to ensure the project proceeds in an orderly manner. Train the local technicians and contractors on the system installation check, energization, parameter setting, testing, troubleshooting and all other related commissioning activities. Based on the on-site manpower situation, allocate tasks to on-site employees and contractors reasonably and determine the responsible individuals for each sub-task. Resolve all issues encountered during commissioning. Seek support from internal and external resources to resolve challenging problems that may arise during commissioning. Maintain on-site customer relationships and ensure timely and effective communication with customers. Ensure timely repairs of equipment at the site, conduct regular inventory of spare parts for equipment failures that occur on site, and maintain a safe stock of spare parts on site. JOB DESCRIPTION Familiar with the company's site management system and has a good understanding of the electrical and structural principles of the company's products. After training, understands and masters the product commissioning procedures, and is familiar with various product installation, commissioning, and maintenance manuals. Proficient in various commissioning skills, such as software upgrades, parameter configuration, DMC/HVAC settings. Proficient in troubleshooting various types of faults, capable of independent problem-solving, and can resolve commissioning challenges based on on-site conditions. Strictly adheres to on-site maintenance safety requirements, proactively identifies and reports potential safety risks in the work. Upon arrival at the site, assesses the overall power station's operational status. Determines maintenance priorities based on the severity of the impact on power station operation. Complete work logs as required, categorizes and records faults, and describes the day's work content. Develop maintenance plans in advance and complete routine maintenance tasks on schedule. Plan spare parts inventory, set safety stock levels for vulnerable components based on project failure rates. Technicians are assigned to a location within the field that modifies and repairs mechanical and electrical processes of the ESS, do the commission work and follows documentation pertaining to their assigned station in their department. JOB DESCRIPTION Assembles each stage of ESS according to processes Provide service and customer support during field visits Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service equipment Diagnose errors and communicate with customer and team to determine appropriate solution Reads schematics Uses measuring tape, levels, squares for installations based on Engineering documentation (metric is preferred) Use of standard hand tools where applicable Use of power tools such as electric and pneumatic tools where applicable Use of multiple meters Drilling and handling of material such as (fiberglass, plastics composites and aluminum) Installation and removal of fasteners such as nuts, bolts and rivets Occasionally apply adhesives and sealants to ESS processes Install and repair of cooling system Demonstrates attention to detail Demonstrates required skills Gathers and analyzes information skillfully Communicates changes and progress Balances team and individual responsibilities Adapts to changes in the work environment Follows instruction, responds to management direction Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness Displays willingness to make decisions Upholds organizational values Proper use of PPE and observes safety and security procedures of BYD and adhere to customer safety and procedures Other duties as assigned REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform ea
