Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to to ship AI products. THE ROLE We’re looking for a high-performing strategic finance professional to join our growing Finance team. This role is ideal for someone with 3 - 4 years of experience across investment banking, venture capital, private equity and/or strategic finance who wants broad exposure to company-building inside a fast-scaling AI infrastructure company. Experience in strategic finance is a plus, but not required. You’ll work closely with Finance leadership and partner cross-functionally across the Finance leadership team. THE RESPONSIBILITIES Support company-wide financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes Build and maintain operating and financial models across revenue, infrastructure costs, hiring, and strategic initiatives Help prepare board materials, investor updates, and fundraising analyses Partner with business leaders to evaluate investments, acquisitions, pricing, growth initiatives, and operational tradeoffs Analyze consumption and infrastructure metrics including ARR, gross margin, usage trends, retention, and efficiency metrics Drive ad hoc strategic projects including market analysis and scenario planning Improve financial reporting processes, dashboards, and operational rigor as the company scales Act as key data and modeling lead on reporting and analysis Assist with finance operations, procurement, and vendor management as needed Work cross-functionally to turn ambiguous business questions into

About the Role We’re seeking an Associate General Counsel to lead commercial legal strategy and execution for OpenAI’s silicon initiatives and the semiconductor ecosystem that supports our AI infrastructure. This is a senior, highly cross-functional role for a lawyer who can advise business and technical leaders across the semiconductor development, manufacturing, and supply lifecycle. The role will partner closely with silicon engineering, infrastructure, strategic sourcing, supply chain, manufacturing, finance, partnerships, IP, policy, regulatory, and trade compliance teams to structure and negotiate strategic arrangements with semiconductor ecosystem partners, technology providers, and critical suppliers. This person will help establish the commercial frameworks needed to protect OpenAI’s technology and support resilient, scalable commercial arrangements. We’re looking for an experienced technology transactions lawyer with meaningful semiconductor industry experience who can translate highly technical and operational issues into practical commercial structures. About the Team OpenAI’s Legal team plays a crucial role in advancing our mission by tackling novel and consequential legal issues in AI. The commercial infrastructure legal team supports the systems and facilities that make advanced AI possible, including compute, first-party silicon, colocation, and first-party data center development. About the Role We’re seeking a senior commercial infrastructure lawyer to lead legal work across our rapidly growing data center development and colocation portfolio. You will advise on complex, high-value transactions involving new data center sites, power, construction, colocation, and related infrastructure arrangements. This role is designed for a lawyer who understands how data centers are developed and operated—not a general real estate practitioner. You will work closely with infrastructure, finance, procurement, and operations teams, while coordinating outside counsel where appropriate, to help projects move quickly and responsibly. San Francisco is preferred, and occasional travel may be required. In this role, you will: Lead commercial legal strategy and risk management for data center development and colocation transactions. Draft, negotiate, and advise on colocation agreements, construction agreements, power-related arrangements, and other contracts supporting data center development. Support first-party projects involving raw land, site and power rights, design and construction, EPC models, third-party build-to-suit structures, and leasebacks. Partner cross-functionally with infrastructure, finance, procurement, operations, and other stakeholders on fast-moving, complex projects. We are seeking an Associate to support financial and strategic work across our compute and infrastructure portfolio. This is a finance generalist role that includes core FP&A responsibilities as well as investment analysis, commercial decision support, and strategic planning. You will own analyses and workstreams, partner closely with technical and finance teams, and help shape decisions about how OpenAI invests in and manages compute. About the Team The Capital Markets team develops the financing strategy, solutions, and partnerships needed to support our expanding global AI infrastructure platform and long-term investment plans. About the Role We’re looking for a senior structured finance leader to create immediate execution leverage for a growing capital markets function. In this role, you’ll take broad financing objectives, such as raising a large pool of capital from a defined set of counterparties, and independently turn them into well-run transaction processes. You’ll lead complex financings from strategy through close, manage counterparties and advisors, and bring sound judgment to capital structure, risk allocation, process design, and execution. This is a hands-on role for someone who is still close to the details, not a purely senior relationship manager. Your work will allow the team lead to spend less time in day-to-day execution and more time building the broader capital markets organization. In this role, you will: Lead large, complex financing processes from initial structuring through diligence, negotiation, documentation, and closing. Translate broad capital-raising objectives into executable financing plans, timelines, work streams, and counterparty strategies. Manage lenders, investors, advisors, counsel, and internal stakeholders across high-stakes transactions.
