RESPONSIBILITIES Provide research assistance to full-time researchers Assist with data collection and preliminary analysis Follow, digest, analyze and improve upon the latest academic research DESIRABLE CANDIDATES Ph.D. candidates in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, or other quantitative discipline. Programming in any of the following: R, Python, or C++. Experience with SQL. Solid research experience in the field of the candidate’s specialty. Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Detail-oriented. Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new methodologies to real life problems. Willingness to take ownership of his/her work. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong desire to deliver high quality results in a timely fashion. Role Overview: We are seeking an Accountant to join our Finance team in Singapore. The role focuses on maintaining an accurate general ledger, ensuring timely month-end closures, maintaining internal controls over financial reporting, and supporting audits and tax filings. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving trading environment with high transaction volumes, multiple legal entities, and constantly evolving products. Key Responsibilities: Execute month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare and review accounts payable, journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, bank wires and fluctuation analyses. Maintain accurate standard operating procedures, financial records and documentation. Identify and implement automation opportunities within the accounting, close and reconciliation process. Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, and government authorities and external service providers. Prepare financial statements and management reports. Monitor cash flow and bank balances to ensure sufficient funding for operational requirements.
