Job description
About the Role Remarcable is seeking an organized and hands-on IT Systems Administrator for our fast-growing SaaS company. This is a high-impact role supporting our internal team’s (primarily macOS) technology needs. This position is responsible for managing IT infrastructure, hardware and software provisioning, responding to help desk requests, and collaborating on cybersecurity and compliance initiatives. Reporting to our future VP, Engineering, the role will be in-person at our office in Vancouver. The ideal candidate is a proven problem solver who is proactive, responsive, and familiar with Mac and Windows environments, Google Workspace, Microsoft Azure, and cybersecurity standards. Qualification
An associate degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, would be preferred. Device Management: Strong experience with macOS and Windows device management (Jamf & Intune). Cloud & Identity: High familiarity with Google Workspace administration and SSO (Azure AD). Networking: Working knowledge of networking (Wi-Fi, DHCP, DNS, firewalls). Security & Compliance: Experience implementing or supporting cybersecurity programs (endpoint protection, access controls, phishing defense - using Jamf, Google, and other tools). Experience supporting compliance frameworks like SOC2 is a plus. Tools & Operations: Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (Jira) and basic troubleshooting for Mac and PC environments. Skills & Mindset: Excellent organizational and communication skills with a customer-first mindset. Comfortable working independently and building IT processes from scratch. Bonus
