Job description
Position Summary Bennett Heat Treating & Brazing Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced and self-directed Maintenance Manager to oversee all production-equipment and facility-maintenance activities. Although the title is Maintenance Manager, this is an individual-contributor position with no direct reports. The successful candidate will personally troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems throughout the facility. A strong Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Supervisor who is ready to assume full ownership of the maintenance function may be considered. This position works frequently with 480V electrical systems, DC voltage, water pumps, vacuum pumps, furnace elements, fans, hydraulics, and other industrial equipment. Must-Have Qualifications At least four years of industrial, manufacturing, production, or facility-maintenance experience. Hands-on electrical troubleshooting experience. Ability to safely work with or around 480V AC and DC electrical systems. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience. Experience maintaining pumps, motors, fans, hydraulic systems, or comparable industrial equipment. Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance. Ability to diagnose equipment failures independently. Familiarity with maintenance planning and MRO inventory. Strong understanding of industrial safety practices. Willingness to work in an industrial environment. Ability to maintain accurate repair, inspection, and preventive maintenance records. Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Self-directed work style with initiative and perseverance. Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with Operations, Production, Quality, management, contractors, and vendors. Willingness to occasionally support urgent repairs outside regular working hours.
