Manufacturing Systems Engineer Ideal experience: develop and evaluate machine designs, including automation controls and communication protocols, for custom-built machines. Key Responsibilities Machine Design and Development : Design and develop custom automated machinery tailored for trading card manufacturing. Automation Controls : Create and implement automation control systems to optimize machine performance and ensure seamless operation. Communication Protocols : Develop and integrate communication protocols to ensure effective coordination between various machinery and systems. System Integration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new machines into existing production lines and systems. Evaluation and Testing : Conduct thorough evaluations and testing of machine designs to ensure they meet performance, safety, and quality standards. Troubleshooting and Maintenance : Provide technical support for troubleshooting and maintaining automated machinery, minimizing downtime and operational disruptions. Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency. Documentation : Maintain detailed documentation of machine designs, control systems, and communication protocols. Qualifications Education : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field is preferred. Experience : Proven experience in designing and developing automated machinery, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Technical Skills : Proficiency in automation control systems (e.g., PLC, HMI), and knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, OPC). Preferred Qualifications Experience with Custom Machinery : Familiarity with designing and developing custom-built machinery for specific applications. Lean Manufacturing : Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices. Software Skills : Experience with CAD software and automation design tools.
