Job description
Develop mechanical parts and complex assemblies in SolidWorks, from initial concepts through released designs. ● Produce clear, accurate engineering drawings, bills of materials, and specifications suitable for fabrication and assembly. ● Select appropriate materials, hardware, fits, and tolerances based on load, operating environment, manufacturing method, inspection requirements, and service conditions. ● Translate sometimes ambiguous engineering objectives into practical mechanical concepts and complete designs. ● Evaluate design trade-offs, document key assumptions, and make sound, defensible engineering decisions. ● Work directly with fabricators, suppliers, technicians, and production personnel throughout prototype and production builds. ● Support hands-on fit checks and integration activities on vessels and on the shop floor. ● Identify and resolve fit, manufacturability, fabricat
