Daniels Health is offering a $1,000 new hire bonus for joining our amazing team in Hayward!
We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused driver who can operate a box truck (26 feet) across the Hayward, CA area. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, stable hours, access to some OT and good benefits. Our vehicle fleet is modern and well-maintained. What will your job involve?
Collect, deliver, and store medical waste containers at customer sites
Provide professional, courteous service and build positive customer relationships
Operate 26ft box trucks safely in all conditions
Complete routes on time and communicate delays or issues as they arise
Load and unload containers; organize your truck and day to meet your schedule
Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and report issues immediately
Consistently lifting up to 50 lbs, with occasional lifting of 50-75 lbs.
Pushing and pulling 100-250 lbs, as appliable to the role.
Follow DOT regulations, log hours correctly, and support roadside inspections
Work with dispatch and teammates to resolve route or customer problems
Own up to mistakes, report incidents accurately, and follow through on fixes
What are we looking for?
Delivery experience within any industry where you have dealt with manual handling (advantageous not mandatory)
Willingness to work full time hours, approx. 40 hours a week
Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
Experience operating vehicles in a safe manner (as large as 26 ft box trucks)
Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3
Proven longevity in past employment

Competitive salary – This position is offering a rate of a set rate (non-negotiable) $26 per hour
This position is offering a $3k sign-on bonus for new hires. $1k paid after 30 days of employment and $2k paid after 90 days of employment!
