Vast is developing next-generation space stations and space infrastructure using an incremental, hardware-rich, and low-cost approach. Vast is rapidly developing its multi-module Haven Station to ensure a continuous human presence in space for America and its allies, enabling advanced microgravity research and manufacturing, and unlocking a new space economy for government, corporate, and private customers. Haven Demo’s 2025 success made Vast the only operational commercial space station company to fly and operate its own spacecraft. Next, Haven-1 is expected to become the world’s first commercial space station when it launches in 2027, followed by additional Haven modules. Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other engineering discipline Demonstrated experience partnering with or operating alongside system engineering leads (e.g., propulsion, payload) on complex technical systems Some proficiency building or working with simulation/analysis tools evaluating system performance, power dynamics, or similar engineering tradeoffs Proficiency with AI tools and their application to engineering or analysis workflows Strong customer-facing and interpersonal skills; comfortable operating as a trusted technical advisor in front of customers Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex engineering concepts for non-technical or mixed audiences Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills &
