SECTION IN-CHARGE – SAND PLANT Foundry Manufacturing Industry Position: Section In-Charge – Sand Plant Department: Sand Plant Maintenance Experience: 5–10 Years in Foundry Sand Plant / Moulding Operations Qualification: Diploma / BE / B.Tech – Mechanical / Production / Foundry Technology Key Responsibilities Overall responsibility for sand plant operations, production and quality . Control and maintain green sand properties such as moisture, compactability, permeability, GCS and other defined parameters. Ensure proper sand preparation, mixing, reclamation and distribution as per process standards. Monitor sand plant equipment, mixers, conveyors, screens, coolers and reclamation systems . Analyze and control casting defects related to moulding sand such as blowholes, scabs, sand inclusion, veining and poor mould strength. Monitor sand consumption, rejection, productivity and process losses and initiate improvement actions. Ensure implementation of 5S, safety, SOPs, Kaizen and continuous improvement activities . Maintain daily production, quality and process parameter records. Lead and develop operators and technicians working in the sand plant.
