The Opportunity at Altana Altana is looking for a Principal Platform Engineer to be the technical authority for the platform our products run on. This is a senior individual contributor role, reporting to the Senior Director of Platform Engineering, for someone who steers architecture across organizational boundaries rather than inside one team's backlog. We operate a broad estate. Multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, a multi-tenant commercial platform, accredited environments including FedRAMP and IRAP, and dedicated sovereign deployments for national customers. The architecture that holds those together determines how fast every product team can ship, how quickly a new customer comes online, and what our infrastructure costs. You will set the direction for it, and you will have real white space to go after the problems you judge to be the most consequential. You will be a permanent member of the Platform Engineering leadership team alongside our engineering managers, and you will be the person other engineers across the company come to when a technical question spans more teams than any one of them owns. The Opportunity at Altana About the Team Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) sit at the center of global trade. Freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and 3PLs touch millions of shipments and connect shippers, suppliers, and governments. The LSP Platform team builds the products that enable keeping up with the rapid pace of government regulation, and modernizing the business processes by engaging in Altana's network. With these tools, LSPs can run a fully agentic, collaborative and cutting edge customs process covering everything needed to screen and clear shipments faster, protect their customers from risk and delays, and offer new trade intelligence services to the shippers they serve. About the Role As Senior Product Manager for the LSP Platform, you'll own the roadmap for one of Altana's most strategic product areas. You'll work directly with some of the world's largest logistics companies to understand how goods move, where compliance and risk create friction, and how Altana can remove it. Your job is to embed Altana into the daily workflows of LSPs so it works as a native capability. You'll also turn LSPs into multipliers for the Altana network. Following our acquisition of Cervo, our product surface now spans transaction screening, shared product catalog, duty calculation, post-entry audit, and agentic entry writing, and the deals that win are the ones where someone can map a broker’s actual entry-writing workflow today, show them what it looks like on Altana, and prove the integration path is real. You’ll own that work: demos, solution design, architecture conversations, and the technical narrative that carries a deal from first call to signed order form. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Implementation, and act as the voice of the customer back to our product and engineering teams.
