Senior Manager- Landscape Contracts & Projects

Function: Projects / Operations/ Contractors management Reporting To: Head – Projects / COO Role Overview Responsible for managing the subcontractor and contractor ecosystem for Gamlaa's landscape and outdoor plant-related projects across multiple locations. The role will oversee contractor identification, empanelment, commercial negotiations, contract management and execution monitoring to ensure landscape development and outdoor plant installation projects are delivered within agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards. The position will work closely with Project Management, Procurement, PCS, QA/QC and Business Development teams to ensure effective project execution and subcontractor performance. Key Responsibilities Contractor & Subcontractor Development: Identify, evaluate and onboard landscape contractors, subcontractors and specialist agencies across operational cities. Build a reliable vendor network based on execution capability, quality, pricing and geographical coverage. Contract & Commercial Management: Manage contractor empanelment, scope finalisation, BOQs, rate contracts, commercial negotiations, work orders, payment terms and contract renewals. Landscape Project Execution: Coordinate execution of outdoor landscaping projects, including site preparation, landscaping, plantation, irrigation systems, hardscaping and other outdoor development requirements. Subcontractor Management: Allocate work to subcontractors, monitor deployment and productivity, and ensure adequate manpower, equipment and resources for project execution. Project TAT & Delivery: Ensure timely execution and completion of projects as per agreed schedules, milestones and customer commitments. Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to approved landscape designs, plant specifications, plantation standards, irrigation requirements and project quality benchmarks in coordination with QA/QC teams. Cost & Budget Control: Monitor project BOQs, subcontractor rates, execution costs and variations to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets. Site Monitoring & Compliance: Conduct periodic site reviews, contractor performance assessments and execution audits. Ensure compliance with safety standards, labour regulations and applicable statutory requirements. Billing & Commercial Closure: Validate subcontractor measurements, work completion certificates, bills and supporting documentation before processing payments. Performance Management: Establish contractor rating and performance evaluation mechanisms covering quality, cost, timelines, safety and service delivery. Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with Project, Procurement, PCS, Finance and Business Development teams to ensure smooth project handover, execution and closure. Experience & Qualifications Experience in Landscape Projects, Horticulture, Civil / Infrastructure Projects or Outdoor Development. Strong exposure to contractor and subcontractor management, contract administration and project execution. Experience in BOQ preparation, rate analysis, commercial negotiations and vendor management. Understanding of landscaping, plantation, irrigation systems, hardscaping and outdoor project execution. Experience in managing multiple projects and contractors across different locations. Strong project planning, cost control and execution management skills. Graduate in Horticulture, Agriculture, Civil Engineering or related disciplines preferred.
