Job description
The YMCA of Greater Boston is searching for a Sports Instructor to lead a group of children and adults of all ages instructing sports classes. Classes are on weekday afternoons and weekend mornings. Candidate must possess excellent child/parent communication skills, expertise in a variety of sports and the ability to work independently. Essential Functions: Coaches sports programs using provided curriculum and curriculum of their own design emphasizing skill development, sportsmanship and the YMCA's core values of Caring, Honest, Respect and Responsibility. Demonstrates designed skills and outcomes to foster learning and skill development. Maintains group focus and attention to activities being run, has strong coaching presence able to positively redirect participants where needed.
