About the role Millions of people use the Affirm Card, but we don’t yet give them a reason to keep coming back beyond the product itself. You’ll build our consumer loyalty program from scratch: what people earn, how they move up, and why Affirm becomes their default way to pay. What you’ll do Own the vision and roadmap for Affirm’s consumer loyalty program, setting the hypotheses, success metrics, and sequencing across multiple quarters Launch the first version of rewards and tiers, including earn mechanics, member benefits, redemption, and the surfaces that make the value obvious in app, at checkout, and after a purchase Build the engagement loops (progress, milestones, personalized offers) that turn a one-time borrower into someone who reaches for Affirm every week Own the program economics: reward liability, funding mix across merchant-funded offers, interchange and network incentives, and the case for incremental GMV against cost per member Set up the measurement foundation for loyalty, including holdouts, incrementality testing and long-run LTV, then tune earn and burn rates and tier thresholds off what the data says Partner with Risk, Credit, Legal, Compliance, Finance and Marketing to design rewards that are compliant and clearly disclosed, with no hidden fees or fine print that surprises peopl

As a Staff Product Manager on Affirm’s Credit & Pricing team, you’ll shape how consumers discover, understand, and use available credit. You’ll own the strategy for credit experiences spanning shopping, repayment, and marketing, turning complex credit capabilities into intuitive products that build trust and drive activation, conversion, and repeat engagement. What You'll Do Set the product direction. Define a cohesive vision for consumer credit experiences, identify the most valuable problems to solve, and translate your strategy into priorities across multiple teams. Build experiences that make credit understandable. Help consumers explore potential financing options before checkout, discover where they have purchasing power, and understand when credit becomes available again after repayment. Create more relevant consumer journeys. Develop personalized experiences for new and returning consumers, using research and experimentation to determine what information, guidance, and next steps best meet their needs. Connect platform capabilities to consumer outcomes. Own merchant prequalification and purchasing power experiences, partnering with core purchasing power and credit decisioning teams to translate underlying capabilities into clear, consistent experiences. We are passionate about building robust, fault-tolerant, highly scalable systems that enable us to be on-time and precisely accurate in every financial interaction we have both with our consumers and institutional finance partners. Ledger Engineering works with our finance partners to support everything from closing our monthly books to annual audits. We bridge the technical gap between data, strategy, and the thorough level of accounting detail required to operate a publicly-traded company. We're the team that tells the business what it's spending, why it's changing, and what to do about it — from AWS resource waste and tagging strategy to the newer frontier of AI/LLM spend across the company's growing set of AI tools. We treat cost anomalies with the same rigor as production incidents: we've built a severity framework (mirroring Affirm's SEV0–3 incident model but mapped to dollar impact) with defined detection sources, TTD/TTR metrics, and escalation paths, and we operate a clear RACI with partner orgs — we own visibility and alerting, and partner teams own remediation (at times we may dig in deep and own remediation too!), so accountability never gets diffuse. As a Staff Cost Engineer, you'll operate at the intersection of finance, infrastructure, and data engineering — designing the tooling, automation, and processes that scale cost governance across a fast-growing multi-cloud and multi-AI-vendor footprint.
