Job description
Vast is developing next-generation space stations and space infrastructure using an incremental, hardware-rich, and low-cost approach. Vast is rapidly developing its multi-module Haven Station to ensure a continuous human presence in space for America and its allies, enabling advanced microgravity research and manufacturing, and unlocking a new space economy for government, corporate, and private customers. Haven Demo’s 2025 success made Vast the only operational commercial space station company to fly and operate its own spacecraft. Next, Haven-1 is expected to become the world’s first commercial space station when it launches in 2027, followed by additional Haven modules. High School Diploma or GED equivalency 5+ years of hands-on experience in aerospace integration, mechanical assembly, or high-reliability hardware manufacturing 2+ years of direct experience leading, coordinating, or supervising technicians in a production, laboratory, or cleanroom environment Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering assembly drawings, electrical schematics, harness routing layouts, and work instructions Hands-on proficiency with precision measuring equipment, torque tools, pneumatic/fluid lines, and specialized mechanical hand tools Strong understanding of workplace safety practices, ESD containment, and aerospace quality management principles Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional engineering and management teams Preferred Skills &
