Job description

NVIDIA has been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for more than 25 years. It’s a unique legacy of innovation that’s fueled by great technology—and amazing people. Today, we’re tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing. An era in which our GPU acts as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can understand the world. Doing what’s never been done before takes vision, innovation, and the world’s best talent. As an NVIDIAN, you’ll be immersed in a diverse, supportive environment where everyone is inspired to do their best work. Come join the team and see how you can make a lasting impact on the world.

We are seeking a Systems Software Manager to lead our Taiwan Tegra MODS team. The team develops diagnostic software that enables NVIDIA data center products to progress through hardware bring-up, validation, and production.

You will combine people management with hands-on technical leadership, helping engineers solve complex problems and deliver reliable diagnostic software. Working with architecture, hardware, firmware, and global software teams, you will shape the team’s technical direction, strengthen its capabilities, and drive consistent execution across a broad range of data center product programs

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a systems software engineering team, supporting recruitment, performance management, career development, and the growth of technical leaders.
  • Own planning and delivery for the Taiwan Tegra MODS team, balancing new feature development, platform enablement, software quality, and urgent program needs.
  • Guide development of diagnostic tests for CPU and DC platforms, from requirements and design through implementation, validation, and maintenance.
  • Provide technical direction through architecture discussions, design and code reviews, and hands-on debugging when needed.
  • Partner with hardware, firmware, and architecture teams to understand new features, define diagnostic requirements, and resolve issues during platform bring-up.
  • Drive complex investigations to closure, establishing clear ownership, actionable debug plans, and regression tests that prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate with global development teams to manage dependencies, share expertise, and maintain reusable software across platforms.
  • Improve development practices, automated testing, and release readiness. Apply AI-assisted tools where they measurably improve productivity and quality.
  • Communicate priorities, progress, technical risks, and resource needs to stakeholders, partners and customers.
  • Adopt AI tools to improve team's efficiency and quality

What we need to see:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant systems software development experience, including 3+ years of engineering people management.
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills and experience designing, reviewing, and debugging complex software.
  • A solid foundation in operating systems, computer architecture, and low-level software development.
  • Experience with device drivers, hardware interfaces, or diagnostic software in a large modular codebase.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical execution, prioritize competing demands, and develop engineers.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and communication skills, including collaboration across geographically distributed teams.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience with CPU and platform diagnostic frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of ARM-based SoCs and Linux kernel internals.
  • Experience with CPU and memory subsystems, interrupts, DMA, PCIe, or other SoC interfaces.
  • A track record of supporting early hardware bring-up and driving issues across hardware, firmware, and software boundaries.
  • Experience improving test coverage, regression automation, and diagnostic reliability.

With competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the most desirable employers in the world. We have some of the most brilliant and talented people in the world working for us. If you are creative, autonomous and love a challenge, we want to hear from you. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
