Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to to ship AI products. THE ROLE We're looking for an exceptional Motion Designer to help bring the Baseten brand to life. This will be a defining role on the brand design team. You'll shape the motion language for Baseten and bring it to life across everything from product launches and social video to huge out-of-home campaigns, events, web, and experimental brand work. We're building a brand in a market that's moving fast, and we want the work to feel just as ambitious. This isn't a role focused on turning out one-off animations or supporting an existing system - you'll help define and build the system, push it into places we haven’t thought about, and set the bar for motion across the company. You'll partner closely with brand, product, marketing, and leadership to turn technical ideas into work that's clear, distinctive, and memorable. RESPONSIBILITIES Define and evolve the motion language for the Baseten brand. Create high-craft motion work across product launches, social, campaigns, web, events, and out-of-home. Concept and produce video content that makes highly technical products feel compelling. Think at every scale, from a five-second social clip to a Times Square takeover. Partner with brand designers to bring identity systems, typography, illustration, and product storytelling to life through motion. About the Team The Codex Web Layer team provides the web-based systems and user experiences for Codex across the entire stack, from the Electron-like application framework that powers the application, to the user-facing in-app browser. About the Role In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing infrastructure and features end-to-end for the Codex desktop client application. You will help define what it means to be a hybrid agentic/interactive web browser. The team embodies “full stack” development from the lowest-level OS integration to the highest-level interaction design. This role is based in San Francisco. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role you will: Partner closely with product and design to conceive, design, and build features for Codex web browsing features on macOS and Windows. This role will focus mostly on the backend C++ layer and Chromium, but many features cross the full stack including some TypeScript. Partner with the wider Codex team to deliver a high-performance, stable, and secure application platform for client development. This includes API design and implementation (mostly in C++) and the infrastructure that supports deploying it (in Python, TypeScript, and agentic skills). Work with a small, experienced team of engineers on this critical and rapidly growing product. We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join our Data Acquisition team. Responsibilities: Own and lead engineering projects in the area of data acquisition including web crawling, data ingestion, and search. Collaborate with other sub-teams, such as Data Processing, Architecture, and Scaling, to ensure smooth data flow and system operability. Work closely with the legal team to handle any compliance or data privacy-related matters. Develop and deploy highly scalable distributed systems capable of handling petabytes of data. Architect and implement algorithms for data indexing and search capabilities. Build and maintain backend services for data storage, including work with key-value databases and synchronization. About The Team The Data Understanding team is responsible for creating the high quality datasets and their quantized representation for OpenAI. This includes synthesizing data, building VQ representations, and processing, filtering, deduplication, quality control, and tokenization so it can be used effectively in big model training runs.
