Instawork is on a mission to create meaningful economic opportunities for skilled hourly professionals in communities around the globe. Our AI-powered labor marketplace helps local businesses scale, and enables global technology companies to push the frontiers of robotics and AI. Backed by world-class investors like Benchmark, Spark Capital, Craft Ventures, Greylock, Y Combinator, and others, we’re looking for exceptional talent to reimagine the way the world works. Instawork Robotics Lab (IRL) Robots are getting smarter, but they still can’t reliably do the everyday physical tasks people do — chopping vegetables, stocking shelves, assembling parts. The bottleneck is data. UC Berkeley’s Prof. Ken Goldberg calls it the “100,000-year data gap”: the chasm between the massive text datasets used to train language models and the tiny amount of real-world, physical-dexterity data available to train robots. The entire robotics industry collected only ~100,000 hours of training data in 2024 and ~1 million in 2025 — and even the ~20 million hours projected for 2026 is still less than 0.04% of what is ultimately needed. IRL exists to close that gap. Using Instacore — a wearable multi-camera and sensor system (head, chest, and wrist cameras plus IMUs and a compute pack) — our field teams capture synchronized, high-diversity egocentric data of real people doing real tasks across real commercial environments: kitchens, warehouses, hotels, retail, and light manufacturing. That data is quality-checked, anonymized, and delivered to the world’s leading robotics companies and foundation-model labs to teach robots how to operate in the messy physical world. In India, we run the on-ground engine of this mission — a growing fleet of Instacore rigs, Field Officers and Data Collectors, regional hubs, and the operations and finance backbone that keeps it all running at quality and scale. NVIDIA’s Silicon Co-Design Group sits at the crossroads of architecture, silicon, systems, and manufacturing, where first-principles thinking and engineering judgment at the highest level translate directly into product outcomes at scale. We are looking for a Principal Performance and Manufacturing Architect who has built the models, defined the specs, and seen them validated through silicon. You have owned the connection between design intent and manufacturing reality, not as a reviewer or a contributor, but as the person who set the methodology and proved it worked. You turn ambiguous physical phenomena into quantified, defensible margin terms. You do not wait for data to confirm your hypothesis; you design the experiment that gets it. You improve how the organization ships products after every program. The exceptional hire also uses AI deliberately — with proven workflow impact and the judgment to know where it compresses real work and where it introduces risk. What you'll be doing: Own the physics, from mechanism to margin. Build first-principles models connecting AVF, defect mechanisms, and DVFS transients to field FIT, system-level yield, and DPPM vs. coverage — calibrated per node and population shift — so every margin term in the V/F curve and P-state table is named, sourced, and defensible. Set the screen that resolves escapes. Specify ATE and SLT voltage, frequency, and timing conditions that capture worst-case transient VF windows — making it unambiguous whether a marginal defect or timing violation is detected or escapes at every manufacturing stage. Make the POR the authoritative source. Author the methodology document for each program and drive alignment across build, product definition, reliability, and test engineering — so every team is making decisions from the same model. Prove the model before produc

About Scale AI At Scale, our mission is to develop reliable AI systems for the world's most important decisions. Our products provide the high-quality data and full-stack technologies that power the world's leading models, and help enterprises and governments build, deploy, and oversee AI applications that deliver real impact. Scale Frontier Data is the organization behind the training and evaluation data that frontier labs depend on. We build the systems, tooling, and expert workflows that turn hard human expertise into signals that models can learn from, across reasoning, coding, agentic tool use, and domain expertise. Reinforcement learning environments are now the center of gravity for that work: the difference between a model that demos well and a model that reliably completes long-horizon work is almost always the quality of the environments and reward signals it was trained against. Responsibilities As a Staff Software Engineer, RL Environments, you'll own the technical foundation for how Scale builds, runs, verifies, and delivers RL environments at scale. An RL environment is a real piece of software: a containerized world with real dependencies, real state, real tools, and a grader that has to be correct even when the agent is creative about breaking it. Building one is a full-stack engineering problem. Building thousands of them reproducibly, cheaply, with trustworthy reward signals and throughput measured in millions of rollouts is a systems problem that very few people have solved. You'll work on both. You'll design the platform: sandboxed execution, environment packaging and versioning, rollout orchestration, trajectory capture, verifier frameworks, and the authoring surfaces that let engineers and domain experts produce environments without reinventing infrastructure each time. And you'll go deep on the environments themselves by instrumenting real applications, designing task suites that expose specific capability gaps, and building graders that

Partnerships Lead - Instawork Robotics Labs || Bengaluru, India (Extensive Travel) · Field & Growth Operations About IRL Researchers at UC Berkeley have identified a “100,000-year data gap” - the gulf between what trained AI language models and what physical robots actually have to learn from. Closing that gap is the defining infrastructure challenge of the physical AI era. IRL is Instawork’s answer to it. We deploy skilled workers into real commercial and residential environments - kitchens, warehouses, hotel floors, homes - to capture the high-fidelity task data that the world’s leading Robotics labs use to train their foundation models. To do that at scale, we need reliable, high-volume access to businesses across India whose skilled manual work becomes the training data for the next generation of robotics. We are looking for a Partnerships Lead to secure that access — both by hunting new opportunities directly and by brokering relationships with the people who already control access to hundreds of businesses: association presidents, lenders, government officials, and enterprise leaders. Your job is to convert both cold outreach and high-trust institutional relationships into onboarding pathways at scale. What You'll Do Broker access at scale. Role Overview The Quality Control Intern – Hardware is the checkpoint every recording rig passes through, in both directions. When rigs return from the field, you inspect their condition, run a functional check, and capture a short test recording that you review to confirm the cameras, footage, audio, and storage are all working. Before any rig goes back out, you give the final sign-off that it is field-ready. This is a small role with an outsized impact: a rig that leaves your desk in a bad state means a Field Officer travels to a business, records for hours, and returns with unusable or missing data — a full day lost, and sometimes a burned business relationship. Your job is to make sure that never happens. Precision, consistency, and discipline are the whole game here. What You'll Own Nothing goes to field without your approval; nothing comes back without your inspection and log. You are the last line of defense on rig quality before it reaches a business.
