The role will report to the Senior Director, Product Engineering Operations, and work closely with Cloud Engineering, the CPO's org, and engineering leadership to create cost visibility and defensibility informing leadership on efficiency strategies. Your ability to be an effective communicator, collaborative team player, and analytical thinker will be keys to success in this role. Responsibilities Cost Visibility, Attribution & Optimization Own and continuously improve cost models that attribute AWS (and other public cloud) spend by product line, team, and environment Drive tagging governance and hygiene, define standards, audit compliance, and close attribution gaps that prevent accurate cost-per-product reporting Build shared cost allocation models to drive transparency into per-team cost drivers where there are prevalent savings plans, reserved instances and network charges Build toward feature-level cost attribution that connects infrastructure spend to product ROI, not just aggregate bill totals Create and manage optimization programs with achievable savings targets, including working across engineering and finance to rightsize, clean up and modernize infrastructur

About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role Anthropic's Safeguards organization builds the policies, evaluations, and enforcement systems that keep our models from contributing to catastrophic harm. We are hiring a manager to lead the research engineering team responsible for biological safety: the evaluations, datasets, and classifiers that govern how our models handle biological knowledge. You will lead a team of research scientists and engineers who design and run capability evaluations against frontier models, curate training data for our safety classifiers, train and iterate on those classifiers alongside our ML engineers, and measure how they hold up against adversarial pressure in production traffic. You will set the technical direction for that work, decide where the team invests, and own the results. This is a hands-on management role. Most of your time goes to growing and directing the team, but you will keep enough technical depth to review an eval design, interrogate a classifier's failure modes, and represent the work credibly to Research, Product, and Policy partners. The core tension your team owns is precision: safeguards need to be robust against sophisticated actors while staying out of the way of the far larger population of legitimate researchers using Claude to accelerate life sciences work. Getting that tradeoff right is an empirical problem, and your team is the one measuring it. Key responsibilities Manage, coach, and grow a team of research scientists and engineers working on biological safety evaluations and classifiers, including hiring, onboarding, performance, and career development Set the technical direction and roadmap for the biol

Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role Anthropic is looking for an experienced G&A Recruiter to help build the business functions that keep our company running smoothly. You'll partner directly with hiring managers across our General & Administrative teams, owning searches that range from high-volume pipelines to highly strategic, hard-to-fill roles — and you'll be expected to context-switch between them without dropping quality. This is a role for someone who thrives on ownership across a diverse portfolio. You'll manage a high req load across multiple hiring managers, use data and systems to prioritize and surface issues early, and build repeatable processes that scale. We're also looking for someone who actively leverages AI and automation to increase throughput while protecting a great candidate experience. Beyond execution, you'll bring genuine recruiting expertise to your stakeholders: calibrating profiles, sharing market insight, improving processes, and pushing back constructively when patterns aren't working. As Anthropic grows quickly, this role will be key to scaling the teams that support our mission. Key responsibilities Own full-cycle recruiting across G&A functions, adapting candidate profiles, comp benchmarks, and assessment criteria to each segment and level Context-switch between high-volume hiring and strategic, senior searches while maintaining consistent quality and candidate experience Manage a high req load across multiple hiring managers without becoming a bottleneck — using data and systems to prioritize, surface issues early, and keep pipelines healthy Build repeatable, scalable processes, and leverage AI and automation

Your core subject matter is the US international provisions, including subpart F, NCTI, FDDEI, BEAT, and the foreign tax credit, along with the subchapter C rules that govern how we form, fund, and structure entities. This is a hands-on technical role. You will write the memos behind your recommendations, review the models that support them, and see your projects through to implementation, often in areas where the facts are new to the company or the law has recently changed and guidance is still developing. Our M&A tax colleagues lead diligence and deal structure on transactions, and once a deal closes you will help work out how the acquired business fits into our international structure. You will also work closely with the colleagues who own the tax provision, compliance, and transfer pricing, and with Legal, Treasury, and Accounting. If you enjoy carrying hard technical questions through to implementation as part of a small team, we would like to hear from you.
