About the team Radar helps businesses prevent fraud and abuse without getting in the way of legitimate customers. We combine machine learning powered by Stripe’s global network with intuitive dashboard experiences and developer APIs, to give our users comprehensive controls and insights to protect their business against threats ranging from payment fraud and card testing to bot and free trial abuse. Fraud doesn’t stand still, and it isn’t limited to checkout. As businesses launch new products and business models, attackers find new ways to exploit them. We obsess about understanding those attacks, identifying defenses that work, and making sophisticated fraud prevention simple for the businesses that depend on us to help them protect and grow their revenue with confidence. What you’ll do As a product manager on the Radar team, you’ll work directly with customers to understand the novel fraud and abuse attacks they face, identify the most important problems to solve, and turn those insights into product strategy and a roadmap. You’ll work at the intersection of customers, engineering, data science, design, and commercial teams to shape what we build and bring it to market. Your work will span the fraud and abuse detection and control capabilities at the heart of Radar and the user and developer experiences that put those capabilities into our customers’ hands. This role requires both urgency and taste. You’ll move quickly as threats evolve, without compromising on reliability, craft, or the details that make complex products feel beautifully simple. Responsibilities Develop a deep understanding of the fraud and abuse landscape. Investigate emerging attacks with customers, assess their financial and operational impact, and distinguish isolated incidents from opportunities to build broadly useful defenses. Translate findings into a product strategy and roadmap, prioritizing the defenses that deliver the greatest customer and business impact. Partner with engineer

About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role The Fraud Prevention team protects Anthropic's payment and monetization surfaces from financial abuse — keeping fraud losses, dispute rates, and network monitoring exposure in check while preserving a smooth experience for legitimate customers. As a software engineer on this team, you will build the systems that make risk decisions in real time, manage the dispute and chargeback lifecycle, and detect monetization abuse across subscriptions, in-app purchases, and promotions. The ideal candidate can see things from attackers' perspectives, anticipate their responses to countermeasures, and never loses sight of the fact that a false positive here is a paying customer. Payments fraud is more externally coupled than most trust and safety work — you'll collaborate closely with finance, support, and legal teams internally, and with payment processors and platform partners externally. Responsibilities: Design and build real-time risk decisioning that scores transactions at authorization time, balancing fraud loss, approval rates, and latency constraints Build tooling and automation for the dispute and chargeback lifecycle, from review queues to evidence collection and loss reporting Engineer fraud signals at scale — device fingerprinting, BIN and issuer signals, velocity features, and cross-account linkage — and detect monetization abuse across subscriptions, trials, promotions, and in-app purchases Own a portfolio of metrics — loss rate, dispute rate, authorization approval impact, and false-positive rate — rather than optimizing any single number Lead investigations into emerging fraud patterns, building multi-layered defense

Ramp
📍 New York• Full-time• Remote• $168K – $284.9K/yr
6mo ago

About Ramp Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books. The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving. We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome. The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same. If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it. About the Role We are hiring a Software Engineer to build systems across Fraud, UIM (User & Identity Management), and Identity. This role sits at the intersection of security, risk decisioning, and product experience. You will help build detection and enforcement capabilities for fraud and account takeover, as well as the identity primitives that power authentication, authorization, and safe account access. This work is deeply cross-functional. You will partner closely with Fraud Ops, Risk Strategy, Security, Product, and Data to ship improvements that are measurable in loss reduction, attack containment, and user experience. What You’ll Do Build and evolve backend services that detect and prevent fraud across multiple surfaces, including account access and money movement.
