Software Engineer II, Growth at Amplitude (View all jobs) San Francisco Bay Area About The Role & Team The Growth organization is focused on helping users realize long-term value from Amplitude. The team plays a critical role in that journey by driving expansion within existing accounts. Many of our customers start with just a few users — often in product or data teams. Our job is to unlock value for everyone else. We build features that help new users set up, get activated, leverage AI for frictionless insights, highlight relevant parts of the product they might otherwise miss, and expand usage across teams and departments. This is especially impactful in large, complex organizations, where getting from the first few users to broad adoption is a multiplier for retention and revenue. We work across Amplitude’s core product suite and integrations, partnering closely with Product, Design, and GTM. We ship fast, test often, and use data to guide what we build and where we invest. Our work touches activation, feature adoption, habit formation, and expansion — the entire lifecycle of turning someone from a new user into a loyal advocate. This is a role for a product-minded engineer who wants to own meaningful projects end-to-end and help shape the strategy and systems behind how customers adopt Amplitude. As a Software Engineer on Growth, you will: Design and build product features that drive activation, engagement, and cross-team expansion Work across the full stack using TypeScript, React, Node.js, and GraphQL Build experiences that improve user onboarding, feature discovery, and product education Create third party connections, allowing other products to integrate with Amplitude Collaborate with Product, Design, GTM, and other engineers to prioritize and deliver impact Use data to identify opportunities and measure outcomes Leverage AI coding tools to speed up development while staying grounded in system understanding Improve the quality, reliability, and maintain

ABOUT THE TEAM At Mural, we're changing how teams collaborate, think, and make decisions together. The Growth & Engagement team helps customers discover value through intuitive product experiences, rapid experimentation, and emerging AI capabilities that make collaboration more effective. We own key parts of the customer journey - from acquisition and onboarding to activation, engagement, retention, and monetization - and use data, experimentation, and customer insights to continuously improve those experiences. We're a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, designers, and data partners who move quickly, measure outcomes, and learn from every experiment. We value curiosity, collaboration, and thoughtful technical craftsmanship, building systems that enable rapid iteration while maintaining a high bar for quality, reliability, and scalability. YOUR MISSION As a Senior Software Engineer on the Growth & Engagement team, you'll build the products, platforms, and experimentation capabilities that help customers discover value faster and achieve more with our product. You'll partner closely with Product, Design, Data, and other Engineering teams to identify opportunities, validate ideas through experimentation, and deliver experiences that improve customer outcomes and drive sustainable business growth. Beyond shipping features, you'll help shape the technical direction of the team, mentor other engineers, and establish engineering practices that enable us to experiment confidently and move quickly. WHAT YOU'LL DO Design, build, and maintain customer-facing features that improve acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and monetization. Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data, Marketing, and Customer Success to identify growth opportunities and translate customer feedback, product analytics, and experimentation to guide product decisions. ABOUT THE TEAM At Mural, we're changing how teams collaborate, think, and make decisions together. The Growth & Engagement team owns the experiences that turn a single-player tool into a multiplayer habit: the loops that bring people back, help them find their work, and pull their colleagues into a mural. Mural's self-serve growth runs through these experiences, and engagement and retention are central to how the business grows. YOUR MISSION As Senior Product Manager, Growth & Engagement, you will own the end-to-end self-serve experience, from a user's first touch through activation, return usage, and conversion to paid. You will treat the full funnel as one system: acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, sharing, and monetization. You will run a high-tempo experimentation practice, partner deeply across Product, Engineering, Design, Data, Marketing, and Sales, and make the calls that turn occasional users into teams that rely on Mural every week. This is a role for someone who wants to own real growth outcomes, not just ship features. You will own the surfaces that decide whether Mural's self-serve engine grows. Engagement and retention here move the business directly, and you will own the full loop across growth and engagement rather than a narrow slice of it. You’ll have a rare end-to-end view of the funnel, from acquisition through in-product engagement. You will work alongside thoughtful product, design, and engineering partners who care about craft and impact. WHAT YOU'LL DO Own product strategy, roadmap, and execution for the self-serve growth and engagement experience, from first touch through activation and return usage Build and optimize the invite, sharing, and join experience Drive activation and retention by improving the moments that bring people back: home and dashboard, notifications, search, rooms and folders, comments, and more Partner closely with Marketing to connect acquisition and re-engagement with in-product activation across
ABOUT THE TEAM At Mural, we’re reimagining how teams think and create together. The Design and Research team brings clarity to complexity, shaping experiences that help people collaborate, ideate, and solve problems visually. We partner deeply with engineering, product, and research to invent the next generation of collaborative work combining craft, systems thinking, and bold exploration. YOUR MISSION As a Lead Product Designer focused on Growth, you’ll define how Mural earns user trust at the moments that matter most when someone first encounters the product's value, decides to go deeper, or chooses to stay. This is end to end growth journey ownership. It's about designing the logic of how Mural grows: the moments where clarity converts, where friction is a design failure, and where the line between growth and product quality either holds or breaks. You'll work across discovery, activation, and pricing surfaces, onboarding paths, upgrade flows, lifecycle touchpoints, and in-product nudges. Most importantly, you'll orchestrate how those surfaces work together and set the standard for how growth design is practiced at Mural. You'll succeed if you can bring full journey thinking, rigor and craft to a domain that often defaults to shortcuts and if you can help a cross-functional team understand what good growth design actually looks like. WHAT YOU'LL DO Player Responsibilities (Individual Contributor Work): Define high-quality, user-centered discovery, activation, and monetization experiences across problem to success flows, upgrade flows, pricing surfaces, and lifecycle touchpoints — setting patterns that scale across the platform. Work from concept to production, delivering thoughtful UX, polished visual design, and vibe coded prototypes that help the organization understand direction, risk, and value. Use behavioral data as a primary design input: interpret funnel metrics, experiment results, and user signals to inform design decisions, not just validate them. Desi
At Linear, we're building the product development system for teams and agents. AI is fundamentally changing how software gets built, and we’re shaping the tools this new era requires. Founded in 2019, Linear has become the platform of choice for more than 40,000 companies (including OpenAI, Coinbase, and Ramp) to plan, build, and ship their products. Today, our team is distributed across North America and Europe, and we’re continuing to grow internationally. What unites us is relentless focus, fast execution, and a deep care for software craftsmanship. Over the last year we’ve made a lot of progress producing quality content and messaging, and we’re now looking for someone to help us distribute it to the right audiences. As Demand Generation Lead, you’ll own how future customers find and first experience Linear, across web, search, and paid media. Your objective is to build awareness and pipeline, particularly with larger companies. It’s likely this role will operate and feel a little different to what you might find elsewhere. Linear is a very brand forward company, so there will be scenarios where we have to turn down seemingly great opportunities to protect perception. We’re unlikely to ever use retargeting pixels and gated content, for example. We’ve got a basic demand motion in place today but we’ve barely scratched the surface. As the first demand generation hire, you’ll own the strategy and lead on delivering it. The marketing team is small but has an outsized impact, and we intend to keep it that way. You’ll have real influence on how Linear grows, and you’ll be encouraged to take ownership and deploy tooling and practices that help you be more effective. About Ramp Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books. The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving. We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome. The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same. If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it. About the Role Growth engineering builds the systems and applications that power every growth channel at Ramp. As an engineer on this team, you’ll own foundational problems ranging from high volume data ingestion and interfaces to customer-facing applications and AI-powered workflows. Replit is the agentic software creation platform that enables anyone to build applications using natural language. With millions of users worldwide, Replit is democratizing software development by removing traditional barriers to application creation. About the Role We're looking for an AI-native product growth lead to own Replit's entire paid acquisition and lifecycle marketing engine as the single DRI. This is an IC role for someone who builds systems, not just campaigns. Someone who uses AI and automation aggressively to do what traditionally requires an entire team. You don't need an engineering background. You need the instinct to build: when you see a repetitive task, you reach for Replit or an API before you reach for a spreadsheet. You'll have data science and data engineering partners for infrastructure and modeling, and brand marketing will set creative direction. Your job is to turn that direction into a closed-loop optimization system: a self-improving system that turns performance data into better creative, optimizes spend across channels in near-real-time, and compounds every insight so nothing learned is ever lost. Each cycle, the system gets smarter. That's the engine you'll build and own. The ideal candidate has deep channel expertise across paid search, paid social, and lifecycle, but their real edge is building AI-powered workflows that scale creative production, automate measurement, and compound institutional knowledge. You Will Own full-funnel performance marketing across paid search & social, ASO, and lifecycle Build a self-improving creative engine: AI-driven ad generation, testing, and iteration that scales without scaling headcount Maintain a persistent knowledge layer so every experiment, result, and creative insight compounds automatically into the next cycle Own conversion signal quality end-to-end: right events, right audiences, right attribution, partnering with DE on the infrastructure Run a structured experimentation program wher
