Toast
📍 United States• Remote• $98K – $157K/yr
1mo ago

After years of building an innovative POS platform for restaurateurs, Toast is expanding into new food and beverage concepts: convenience stores, grocery stores, and bottle shops. The Toast Retail platform is already winning with independent operators. Now we are moving upmarket, and this is one of the key sales roles that proves the commercial motion as we pursue increasingly complex retail accounts. Role Overview As a founding Mid Market Account Executive for Toast Retail, you will source and close multi-location retail deals with a focus on grocery, liquor, and convenience operators. These are complex accounts with real buying committees, layered compliance requirements, deep inventory and SKU demands, and incumbent systems that took years to entrench. Winning them requires a sales motion that does not fully exist at Toast Retail yet. You will help build it, one deal at a time. This is not a role for someone who wants to inherit a finished playbook. Some proof points exist from our SMB business, leadership is investing, and there is a set of open questions that closers in the field have to go answer. What does discovery look like when the buyer is a VP of Operations and not an owner? Which SMB motions translate upmarket and which have to be rebuilt? What do we need from Product to be credible in a 40 store grocery chain? You will form hypotheses, test them in live deals, and feed what works back so the next AEs can run it. You will report to the Manager, Mid Market Sales, Toast Retail. This is a remote opportunity with travel expectations of 30% or more, including store walks and on site visits. A day in the life (Responsibilities) Pipeline and prospecting: Build a qualified pipeline of multi-location grocery, liquor, and convenience operators through category research, cold calling, networking, and close partnership with our SMB Retail teams to identify accounts ready to move upmarket. Retail centric discovery: Run disciplined discovery against buying committees

AI Platform builds the foundations of Datadog's AI efforts. The org is 70+ people organised in three pillars: training and serving (GPU clusters, distributed training, low-level infrastructure), agents (agent harnesses, memory systems, the internal AI gateway that routes every LLM request at Datadog), and evaluation and experimentation. This role sits in the evaluation and experimentation pillar, which owns Datadog's shared annotation and evaluation infrastructure — including the evaluation scenario store and the telemetry archival systems used across the Bits org. Together they let an agent travel back in time and query what Datadog looked like at the exact moment an incident happened, so scenarios can be replayed and agent performance tracked over time. Specifically, you'll be the first applied scientist on GenSim (Generative Simulations), the team that builds the environments Datadog's agents learn in. GenSim doesn't replay sampled telemetry — it stands up real, fully instrumented applications that talk to Datadog, drives them with representative traffic, injects controlled failures, and records what happens. Because GenSim injected the failure, it knows the ground truth. That corpus — hundreds of postmortem-derived scenarios and thousands of runnable applications — is today the primary source of post-training data for Datadog's own SRE model, and the substrate that Bits AI SRE and our other agents are trained and evaluated against. The team has no applied science support today and is learning post-training data methodology on the fly. That's the gap this role fills, and the open questions are the interesting part. How do you tell whether a generated environment is actually representative of the messy, incomplete telemetry real customers run — rather than a suspiciously clean one where every monitor exists and every service emits complete logs? How do you make injected problems genuinely hard, and how do you even measure difficulty? How do you define and control

Perplexity
📍 San Francisco• Full-time• Remote• $150K – $225K/yr
1mo ago

We're looking for a Growth Brand Designer to sit at the intersection of brand craft and growth performance. You'll be the designer who makes Perplexity's highest-volume, highest-leverage marketing surfaces — paid ads, social, lifecycle email, and campaign assets — look unmistakably Perplexity while actually moving the numbers. This is a shipping role, but it's equally a thinking role. Strategic concepting is a big part of the job: you'll sit with the Growth team as an ideator — generating campaign concepts, testing hypotheses, and shaping the creative strategy behind the work — not just executing briefs handed to you. The ideas you bring to the table matter as much as the assets you ship. You'll produce a steady stream of ad and campaign creative across formats and channels, then work with Growth to read the results and iterate. You care about conversion and craft in equal measure: you'd never ship an off-brand asset to win a test, and you'd never hide behind polish when the data says a concept isn't working. You'll report into the Brand/Creative Studio team and work closely with Growth, Product Marketing, Brand, and our motion and web designers. What you'll do Drive strategic concepting for growth campaigns — bring original ideas, angles, and creative territories to the table, and shape the brief rather than just receiving it Operate as a true ideation partner to the Growth team: co-develop campaign strategy, propose test hypotheses, and pitch concepts that open up new creative directions Own the design of growth creative end-to-end — paid social and display ads, campaign assets, and lifecycle email — from concept to shipped asset Design for volume and velocity: build variant sets, test hypotheses, and iterate on winners with the Growth team using real performance data Turn product launches and GTM campaigns into ad creative that lands on every channel it runs — static, animated, and everything in between Build and maintain scalable ad and email templates so high-f

About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role Anthropic is seeking Software Engineers to join our Observability team within the Infrastructure organization. The Observability team owns the monitoring and telemetry infrastructure that every engineer and researcher at Anthropic depends on—from metrics and logging pipelines to distributed tracing, profiling, error analytics, alerting, and the dashboards and query interfaces that make it all actionable. By joining this team, you'll have a direct impact on the reliability and operational excellence of Anthropic's research and product systems. As Anthropic scales its infrastructure across massive GPU, TPU, and Trainium clusters, the volume and complexity of operational data is growing by orders of magnitude—and an increasing share of the hardest problems live below the application layer. We're building next-generation observability systems—high-throughput telemetry pipelines, fleet-wide continuous profiling, eBPF-based tracing and network visibility, and agentic diagnostic tools—so engineers can detect, diagnose, and resolve issues in minutes rather than hours, even when the answer lies in the kernel, the network stack, or an accelerator rather than on a dashboard. Zoox is building the world’s first purpose-built autonomous robotaxi. Fleet Operations keeps that fleet available, utilized, and safe, from 24/7 remote assistance and rider support to maintenance, repair, and on-road operations. We are hiring a Manager, Fleet Operations Training to own training for the full Fleet Operations workforce. This is not a corporate L&D role focused on leadership workshops. It is an operational training leadership job: you will run the function that certifies Crew to perform safety-critical work and keeps them current as the product, processes, and geographic footprint scale. The scope spans two training surfaces that must run to the same bar: Remote operations: This looks and feels like a high-stakes contact center: nested coaching, certification before live work, quality-driven upskilling, and trainer-to-learner ratios that have to hold as hiring ramps. Ground operations: All the on-the-ground work that it takes to operate our fleet, along with the training programs to enable our R&D Operations. This includes blended e-learning and hands-on and vehicle-in-the-loop training, with dedicated training vehicles and site infrastructure. You will lead a distributed organization of training program managers, instructional designers, training supervisors, trainers, and coordinators, and own the systems our training operations depend on. In this role, you will: Set the Fleet Operations training strategy and roadmap so hiring plans, new-market launches, and vehicle/software milestones have certified people on time without compromising safety. Own program quality end to end: curriculum standards, assessment and certification bars, learner-reaction and performance metrics, pass-rate monitoring, and a recurring upskilling/quality calendar tied to operational error, quality programs, and safety signals (including incident-procedure and safety-program retraining).
