About Flexport: At Flexport, we believe global trade can move the human race forward. That’s why it’s our mission to make global commerce so easy there will be more of it. We’re shaping the future of a $10T industry with solutions powered by innovative technology and exceptional people. Today, companies of all sizes—from emerging brands to Fortune 500s—use Flexport technology to move more than $19B of merchandise across 112 countries a year. The recent global supply chain crisis has put Flexport center stage as we continue to play a pivotal role in how goods move around the world. We are proud to have the support of the best investors in the game who believe in our mission, solutions and people. Ready to tackle global challenges that impact business, society, and the environment? Come join us. Why Customs Matters More Than Ever International trade is under more pressure than ever before. With tariffs, shifting regulations, and geopolitical uncertainty, customs has gone from a back-office function to a boardroom priority. The recent trade crisis—sparked by Trump-era tariffs—has made customs the single most complex challenge for global businesses. For many, it’s the difference between keeping supply chains moving or grinding them to a halt. That’s where we come in. The Customs Technology team at Flexport is leading the charge. We are building the systems that help entrepreneurs and global brands navigate complexity, stay compliant, and keep the world’s goods flowing. The opportunity: Customs brokerage is one of the largest, most under-innovated opportunities in logistics. Legacy customs brokers are stuck with outdated systems and manual processes—they simply can’t adapt fast enough. Flexport is growing fast because we’re different. We are the only big tech company in the space, and the only freight forwarder that got founded after the launch of Netscape. Being a tech company, we can move much faster than our competitors, and give our customers the se

About the Team The Plugin Developer Platform team builds the APIs, SDKs, and tools that let people extend ChatGPT and Codex. We work on plugins, connectors, the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and interactive apps. We want anyone to be able to turn a useful workflow into a plugin, share it, and have other people use it. A plugin can package instructions and skills with connections to the tools and data it needs. Our work covers plugin creation and publishing, the systems that run plugins across our products, and open standards that developers can build on. About the Role We’re looking for platform-minded engineers who know what it takes to build a platform developers want to use. You’ll work across developer-facing interfaces, APIs, and backend systems. You’ll own features from the first developer conversation through implementation and release. You’ll talk directly with developers, partners, and the open-source community. Their experience will inform the APIs and abstractions you design, the problems you prioritize, and the tradeoffs you make. This role is based in San Francisco. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. What You’ll Do Design and ship APIs, SDKs, and services that developers use to extend ChatGPT and Codex. Make plugins easier to create, test, publish, update, and share. Improve compatibility and consistency across ChatGPT and Codex, including interactive app experiences. Contribute to MCP and other open standards, bringing practical developer needs into their design. Work with developers and partners to understand recurring problems and improve the platform, tooling, and documentation. Work with Product, Research, Security, and Trust & Safety on permissions, compatibility, and safe, reliable execution. You Might Thrive Here If You Have built software that other developers use. About the Team The Intelligence and Investigations team is dedicated to ensuring the safe, responsible deployment of AI by rapidly detecting and mitigating abuse. Our team leverages the latest testing methodologies to uncover vulnerabilities and emerging threats, helping safeguard OpenAI’s products and users. We work closely with cross-functional partners across product, policy, and engineering to drive a comprehensive defense strategy against evolving adversarial challenges. About the Role As a Red Team Specialist focused on cyber, you will help answer two practical questions: What cyber capabilities can our models provide to real-world attackers, and do our safeguards remain effective when those attackers use increasingly sophisticated techniques? The role combines scaled evaluation with expert-driven testing. You may bring deeper experience in cybersecurity and use that expertise to judge whether a model’s behavior meaningfully changes attacker capability. Alternatively, you may bring deeper experience in model evaluations, automation, or agentic harnesses and apply those skills to building rigorous cyber testing. We do not expect every candidate to be equally deep in both areas, but successful candidates will have a strong foundation in one and enough fluency in the other to work effectively across the boundary. Most of your work will focus on model cyber capabilities and safeguards; you will also spend a portion of your time testing novel abuse risks in agentic systems. This role is located in San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role, you will: Design and run rigorous evaluations of model cyber capabilities and safeguards, including policy adherence, correct refusal, over refusal, and resilience to jailbreaking and other adversarial techniques. About Us: AI needs a new infrastructure layer. We're building it at Modal. Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now. Our customers include category-defining companies like Lovable , Ramp , Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale. We recently raised a $355M Series C at a $4.65B valuation, led by General Catalyst and Redpoint Ventures. We've crossed $300M+ ARR and grown fivefold since September. Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g., Seaborn , Luig i ), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience. The Role: We’re looking for strong engineers with experience building developer tools that users love to work with. Our ideal candidate is someone with a demonstrated drive to build beautiful interfaces that enhance developer productivity. Requirements: 5+ years of experience developing high-quality Python libraries with broad user-bases, ideally including some experience maintaining open-source software. Knowledge of advanced Python features, especially async programming. A strong product sense that manifests as a focus on developer ergonomics and productivity. A high level of customer empathy, good communication skills, and an openness to working directly with our users to help solve their problems.
