At Asana, we believe AI represents the future of work, and APIs are at the heart of how AI connects with the tools where work happens. Asana’s API team owns the gateways that enable data flow into and out of Asana, whether via the public API used to build new apps and agents or our MCP server that enables LLMs to take action in response to natural language. Asana’s rich developer platform and app ecosystem help ensure we can support every use case out there–no matter how big or small the team, and no matter which tools or workflows they use. We’re looking for a staff-level Technical Lead to drive execution and technical vision for our developer platform. Our API team has huge, cross-cutting scope: one day you’ll be partnering with Product to define what a great agentic experience looks like and contributing to the direction of industry-wide protocols, the next you’ll be setting best practices for exposing new Asana functionality via the public API and architecting foundational changes to our API’s core feature set and frameworks, all while mentoring the engineers and developer advocates on the team. If you care deeply about building an agentic future for the enterprise and leading high-performing engineering teams, then we’d love to hear from you! This role is based in our Vancouver office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements. What you’ll achieve Set the technical strategy for the API platform within Asana and advocate for engineering-driven investments, with a vision for keeping our systems flexible and maintainable Drive the team to continually and holistically better itself, enabling the engineers around you to deliver at a high velocity

Diligent Corporation
📍 Vancouver• Full-time• C$90K – C$107K/yr

Platform administration isn't the part of the product anyone screenshots for a demo. Nobody's writing a blog post about your identity provisioning flow. But it's the thing every other team at Diligent quietly depends on more than any other dev team in the company and when it breaks, everyone notices immediately. If that kind of quiet, high-stakes ownership sounds appealing rather than thankless, keep reading. This role is for someone who wants real skin in the game: you build it, you ship it, you support it. We're a high-initiative team that improves things we see first and asks permission later, building secure, event-driven microservices in TypeScript on AWS, and treating infrastructure as code the same way we treat application code: with rigor, not as an afterthought. Here's a breakdown of what you'll do (not all of it, just the important stuff) Design and build secure, scalable full-stack services using AWS serverless tech (Lambda, SQS, API Gateway) — with real attention to event-driven patterns and observability, not just "does it work on my machine." Own your services in production. That means building good observability, keeping an eye on alerts, and responding to them before they become bigger problems. Build infrastructure as code with AWS CDK and push for CI/CD that ships safely and often — not "big bang" releases you have to pray over. Design RESTful APIs other teams will actually want to consume: clear contracts, sane versioning, no surprises. Write tests — unit, integration, end-to-end — as part of how you build, not a chore you do after. Show up to architecture discussions with opinions and documentation, not just vibes. Use AI tools to move faster on coding, debugging, testing, and research — but you're still the one who validates the output. These are the essentials you'll need to get an interview 2-3 years of professional software engineering experience in an agile, full-stack-focused environment. Solid full-stack fundamentals: request lifecycles, d

Position Overview As a Senior Staff Software Engineer on Diligent's Platform AI team, based out of our technical center of excellence in Vancouver, you will drive the architecture and technical direction of the services that bring AI research and models into production across Diligent's global product suite. You will partner with AI researchers, product managers, and Staff Engineers as peers — leading through influence across the Platform AI organization rather than through reporting authority, on secure, scalable AWS Serverless solutions that translate ML and LLM research into commercial-quality, production systems. Key Responsibilities Drive technical direction and architecture for ML/LLM systems across multiple AI platform teams, partnering with Staff Engineers rather than managing ICs in isolation. Design secure, scalable, fault-tolerant AI/ML solutions using AWS Serverless technology — event-driven, highly observable, with infrastructure as code. Evaluate and prototype new AI technologies (LLM frameworks, model providers, agentic tooling) to guide build-vs-buy decisions across the organization. Serve as the go-to contact for architecture problems and questions across the Platform AI org, and regularly present and guide architecture discussions department-wide. Mentor Staff Software Engineers and Applied Scientists through constructive code review and design partnership. Collaborate with Applied Scientists and Product teams to productize AI capabilities, translating multi-quarter AI strategy into execution roadmaps and representing engineering's perspective to senior leadership. Design, build, and scale search and retrieval systems — including OpenSearch and semantic/vector search — that power discovery, retrieval-augmented generation, and other AI-driven product features. You define how the codebase is built. On-site | Vancouver Office – 675 W Hastings St. The Problem We're Solving EviSmart is building the unified dashboard platform where every product surface comes together — the interface lab owners use to manage cases, access analytics, and launch AI-powered tools. It doesn’t have a frontend foundation yet. What exists is a clear product direction, a backend that’s ready to connect, and an engineering team that needs someone to draw the lines before anyone starts building. Why EviSmart 300 people. Two hubs: Vancouver HQ and Manila operations. 145% year-over-year SaaS growth — the market is responding. 28 countries. One platform. The dental industry's Autopilot. An in-house AI model research and development team building proprietary intelligence. Why This Role, Right Now Most senior frontend engineers join products with foundations already in place — someone else made the hard calls, and your job is to build within them. This is the opposite. There is no existing dashboard frontend, no technical debt to inherit, and no architectural decisions that constrain you yet. The person who joins now makes the foundational choices that the entire frontend team builds on for the next several years. The first product milestone is aggressive, the customer base is real and global, and the backend is ready. What doesn’t exist yet is the engineer who sets the direction. A Note from the Team “We’re not looking for someone who needs a clear spec before they can move. We need someone who can audit what exists, make a recommendation, and execute on it. If you’ve been the person who sets the technical direction that your team builds on, and you want to do that at a scale that actually matters, this is that conversation.” — Paolo Kalaw, CEO, EviSmart What You’ll Own Own the React JS / TypeScript frontend architecture for a new dashboard platform — the unified interface where all products connect. On-site | Vancouver Office – 564 Beatty St About EviSmart EviSmart builds the automation layer that dental laboratories run on. A dental lab is a manufacturing operation. A case arrives from a dentist — a 3D scan of a patient's mouth and a prescription — and leaves as a crown, bridge, denture or night guard. In between sit a dozen manual steps: monitoring scanner portals, retyping cases into lab software, checking scan quality, interpreting handwritten prescriptions, designing the restoration. We automate that pipeline. Our software connects to 15 intraoral scanner portals and more than five lab management systems, pulls cases the moment they arrive, reads the prescription, maps it into the lab's own product catalogue, checks the scan, and routes it to design. We serve roughly 6,000 customers across 28 countries from offices in Vancouver, Manila, Seoul and Shenzhen. The automation works. It does not yet work well enough, consistently enough, to run unattended — and closing that gap is the highest-leverage technical problem in the company. What you'll do Establish measurement. Build per-model, per-customer, per-category accuracy reporting that Product and Sales can act on. Nothing else you do matters until this exists. Build the correction flywheel. Capture the quality-control corrections our customers already make, turn them into structured, versioned training data, and close the loop with human review where confidence is low. Standardize the squads. One deployment path, one evaluation harness, one model and dataset registry across restoration design, scan quality, prescription extraction and agents. Solve multi-tenant model behaviour. Thousands of customer-specific product codes, prescription conventions and unwritten preferences sitting over a shared model base — without building a bespoke model per customer. Take inference to production scale. Move workloads from on-premise to cloud with understood cost per inference and real concurrency headroom. •
