Location : Ghent, Belgium/ Bucharest, Romania, hybrid model 2 days on-site About the position We're looking for a Principal Cloud Engineer to join our platform enablement team and help shape the infrastructure foundation that our engineering organisation builds on. This role is suited for someone who has worked in a modern, mature SaaS engineering culture — where autonomous product teams own their own AWS accounts, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines, and the platform team's job is to enable them to do that well. You will provide architectural guidance, guardrails, and best practices that help teams move fast without breaking things. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and evolve core AWS infrastructure to support the accelerated expansion of our platform capabilities across a multi-account, multi-environment organisation. Own and advance our AWS CDK (TypeScript) standards — you are the expert other teams come to for guidance, code reviews, and architectural decisions on IaC. Provide architectural guidance, guardrails, and reusable patterns that enable autonomous product teams to build and operate their own cloud infrastructure safely and efficiently. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex infrastructure and platform issues, including reverse-engineering problems when documentation or context is limited. Help maintain reliable operational support, including participation in on-call and escalation rotations . Partner closely with engineering teams to share context, unblock work, and raise the infrastructure quality bar across the organisation. Support knowledge transfer and continuity in a complex, fast-moving operational environmen
