About the Team Within Finance & Strategy, the General & Administrative (G&A) Finance & Strategy team partners with leaders across DoorDash’s corporate functions to plan resources, track performance, and support investment decisions as the company grows. This role will be the primary finance partner to our Legal organization, including Litigation, Legal Operations, Corporate Legal, and Product Legal, and will help build the consolidated planning and reporting tools our broader team relies on. We expect this role to be primarily based in San Francisco, CA, New York, NY. About the Role We are looking for a Senior Associate to help shape how DoorDash invests in its Legal organization over the long term, while owning the planning, forecasting, and reporting that make those decisions possible. You will partner with Legal leaders to understand what shapes their spend, from outside counsel and litigation matters to headcount and legal technology, and turn that understanding into clear forecasts and investment recommendations. Legal spend can be hard to predict, so success in this role means building trusted relationships, bringing structure to uncertainty, and giving leadership an accurate, early view of risks and opportunities. This role is well suited for someone who wants to move past “what is the budget” to “what is the right level of investment, and how will we know it is working.” You will report into the Director who leads our Global G&A Finance team in our Finance & Strategy organization. You’re excited about this opportunity because you will… Partner with leaders across Litigation, Legal Operations, Corporate Legal, and Product Legal to shape long term investment decisions, such as when to bring work in house and how to consolidate outside counsel. Our Values If this sounds like you, you’ll fit right in. Department Engineering > Platform Who You Are You believe the secure path should be the easy path. You've spent your career where security and engineering meet, and you've learned that scanners nobody reads and gates nobody can pass don't make software safer, they make engineers route around you. So you build guardrails instead: pipelines that catch vulnerabilities before a human ever has to, golden paths with security baked in, and automation that turns "did we patch that?" from a meeting into a dashboard. You're comfortable in a CI/CD pipeline, an AWS account, and a Kubernetes cluster. You can read application code well enough to tell a real injection risk from scanner noise, and you'd rather fix the template that generated the bug than file 40 tickets about it. This is a foundational role. You'll be one of the first dedicated DevSecOps engineers on a platform organization supporting 300+ engineers, working alongside our Developer Experience and SRE teams and partnering closely with the Security organization. You'll shape how secure software gets built here, not just review it after the fact – including how we use AI to find and fix vul
