About the Team DoorDash is looking for an experienced Manager, Tax Technology to lead the tax platform and business projects of our growing Tax Team, with an emphasis on new integrations — new verticals, new merchants/partnerships, and new product launches. This role sits at the intersection of tax, product, engineering, and the Vertex Center of Excellence — turning business and tax requirements into configured, tested, live capabilities and working with the offshore implementation team delivering that work day to day. As DoorDash continues to grow across new verticals and markets, we are looking for a candidate who combines indirect tax knowledge with the ability to translate business and tax requirements into clear functional system requirements, lead cross-functional delivery, and own the delivery of new tax platform features on both the in-house and third party tax engines. You will partner closely with Tax Engineering, Tax Advisory & Planning (TAP), Tax Product, and other stakeholders — gathering business and tax requirements, translating them into tax-system functional requirements for configuration, testing and cutover, and reviewing Technical Design Documents (TDDs) to provide functional tax expertise back to Tax Engineering. The primary focus of this position is end-to-end delivery of tax features, new-vertical / new-merchant or partnership / new-product launches, and legislative changes on the DoorDash platform, grounded in US sales and use tax, Canada GST/HST/PST, and Australia and New Zealand GST, across food and beverage and retail tax context, with an understanding of how data flows from upstream systems through the tax engine to downstream reporting. Rather than handing off requirements to the Vertex Center of Excellence team, you will apply your own Vertex knowl
