About Hark Hark is an artificial intelligence company building advanced, personalized intelligence. One that is proactive, multimodal, and capable of interacting with the world through speech, text, vision, and persistent memory. We're pairing that intelligence with next-generation hardware to create a universal interface between humans and machines. While today's AI largely operates through chat boxes and decade-old devices, Hark is focused on what comes next: agentic systems that interact naturally with people and the real world. To get there, we're developing multimodal models and next-generation AI hardware together - designed from the ground up as a single, unified interface for a new era of intelligent systems. About the Role We're looking for an experienced Audio DSP Deployment Engineer to own how our audio algorithms work on device. Our algorithm team prototypes and validates new audio processing on the desktop in MaxMSP, JUCE, Python, and MATLAB, but the on-device implementation is its own design problem: what runs where, at what precision, in what block size, and within what compute, memory, and latency budget. You will own that design, reworking and extending algorithms so they hold up in real time on the embedded DSP cores inside our products, tuning them against real hardware and real acoustics, and carrying them through to a shipping feature. This is hands-on work close to silicon with genuine ownership of the on-device audio chain, and direct influence on how the product sounds and listens. Responsibilities Own the on-device design of the audio algorithm chain: what runs where, at what precision and block size, and within what compute, memory, and latency budget Take algorithms from desktop prototype in MaxMSP, JUCE, Python, and MATLAB to production C/C++ running in real time on the embedded DSP cores, re-architecting them where the target demands it rather than transcribing them Develop, tune, and extend algorithms directly on device, and propo

You will lead the structuring and negotiation of some of Hark's most important commercial relationships, with a particular focus on wireless carriers, device distribution, retail and channel partnerships, connectivity arrangements, and the commercialization of Hark's consumer hardware products. This is not a traditional commercial counsel role. You will work at the intersection of consumer hardware, artificial intelligence, telecommunications, and global distribution as Hark creates an entirely new product category. You should be comfortable negotiating sophisticated transactions where the commercial model may not yet have an established precedent. You will be expected not simply to identify risk, but to develop practical structures that allow Hark to move quickly while protecting its long-term strategic interests. This role sits inside Legal but lives with research and engineering. You will work alongside the people building our foundation models, on-device inference, agentic systems, and product software, finding the inventions before anyone has thought to write them down. Then you will go draft the applications yourself. Software patents are won or lost on subject-matter eligibility, and the work of getting a claim allowed starts long before the first office action. It starts in the specification, and before that, in understanding the technical problem well enough to say precisely what the invention improves. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who wants to author that strategy rather than inherit it. We're looking for an ML Data & Platform Engineer to own the infrastructure that powers our speech AI models: the pipelines that source and prepare training data, and the platform that trains, evaluates, and serves them in production. Speech AI has a data problem most ML teams don't, and you'll be at the centre of solving it, working as part of our ML team to remove friction across the entire lifecycle and get better models into production faster. This is a broad, cross-functional role suited to someone who enjoys working across the full stack: data infrastructure, distributed systems, and production ML, and who takes ownership of problems end to end rather than waiting to be told what to fix. What you'll do Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, validating, and storing large datasets used to train our models Developing and maintaining web scraping and data acquisition solutions to keep training datasets fresh, high-quality, and available at scale Building and operating the infrastructure that lets the ML team deploy and evaluate new models quickly, and that serves models efficiently and reliably in production Optimising infrastructure for both iteration speed and production reliability, including GPU utilisation, job scheduling, and training efficiency Implementing observability (monitoring, logging, alerting) across data pipelines and ML systems to catch issues early and keep things running smoothly Troubleshooting complex issues across distributed systems, spanning data infrastructure, training, and inference Continuously improving our data and MLOps practices, and helping shape the roadmap for how our platform evolves as we scale What you'll need Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with a solid backend or data engineering foundation Hands-on experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and working with a major cloud provider Experience building data pipelines and ETL/ELT processe
