At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done. Snowflake is building the most powerful AI Data Cloud in the world — and Canada is a critical part of that mission. Our AI/ML engineering teams are delivering the intelligence layer that powers Cortex AI, large language model inference, AI functions, intelligent search, and the next generation of AI-powered experiences on the Snowflake platform. We're looking for a Software Engineer — AI to join our growing Toronto engineering team. You'll design, build, and ship AI-powered systems and services that are used by thousands of organizations worldwide. If you're passionate about building production AI infrastructure at scale and want to work alongside world-class engineers on problems that matter, this is the role. AS A SOFTWARE ENGINEER — AI, YOU WILL: Design, develop, and ship AI-powered features and services — working across model inference, AI functions, retrieval systems, and intelligent application experiences on the Snowflake platform Build production-quality infrastructure for AI workloads — including model serving, embedding pipelines, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and AI-driven automation Write clean, performant, and well-tested code in languages like Python, Java, C++, or Go — contributing to systems that operate at enterprise scale across Snowflake's multi-c
We are hiring a Security Software Engineer to design and implement the hardware-backed security foundations used across OpenAI’s device ecosystem. A central focus of this role is hardening the boundary between our policy systems and the HSMs that protect sensitive cryptographic keys. This boundary determines which operations may be performed, what may be signed, which policies must be satisfied, and how changes to trusted software and policy are authorized. You will develop security-critical software and firmware within, or immediately adjacent to, an HSM trust boundary. Depending on your background, this may include HSM trusted applications, firmware services, cryptographic mechanisms, device drivers, PKCS#11 components, secure-provisioning protocols, or signing-policy enforcement systems. This is a hands-on software-engineering role. You will be expected to design systems, write and review production code, debug across hardware and software boundaries, and carry projects from initial requirements through deployment. It is not an HSM administration, PKI operations, compliance, or architecture-only position. In This Role, You Will Design and implement security-critical software and firmware for HSMs, secure elements, trusted execution environments, and hardware roots of trust. Build and harden the policy-to-HSM boundary responsible for authorizing certificate issuance and cryptographic signing operations. Develop HSM trusted applications, firmware components, host interfaces, device drivers, SDKs, or cryptographic service integrations. Implement or extend cryptographic interfaces such as PKCS#11, OpenSSL providers or engines, platform key-storage APIs, or comparable hardware-security interfaces. Build firmware and software that cryptographically enforces key generation, provisioning, usage, rotation, recovery, and destruction policies. Design and implement HSM-backed certificate authority, code-signing, key-management, and device-identity systems. Develop end-to-end
About the Team OpenAI’s Applied AI Engineering team helps organizations turn frontier AI capabilities into safe, reliable, and high-impact production systems. We work with customer executives, product and engineering teams, security leaders, and transformation teams to identify valuable opportunities, accelerate technical implementation, and scale what works. Production-ready deployments are defined by complexity rather than any one industry: existing architectures, diverse data environments, security and governance requirements, multiple stakeholder groups, and organization-wide change. We turn lessons from these deployments into better products and reusable patterns for customers everywhere. About the Role As an Applied AI Engineer you will partner directly with leading organizations to design, build, and deploy AI systems that deliver measurable business outcomes. You will combine deep technical judgment, hands-on engineering, and customer leadership to take ambitious ideas from use-case selection and architecture through prototyping, evaluation, production launch, and scale. You will write and debug code, build evaluation systems, resolve complex integrations, and guide decisions involving model behavior, reliability, latency, cost, safety, security, governance, and operational readiness. Success is measured by production systems, sustained adoption, and meaningful customer impact—not simply activity or successful demonstrations. This is a rare opportunity to work on consequential real-world deployments at the frontier of AI while directly influencing how OpenAI’s products evolve. This role is based in Munich. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees In this role, you will: Partner directly with enterprise and digital native customers to identify high-value opportunities and translate them into technical architectures, implementation plans, evaluation strategies, and measurable success criteria.

About the team Agent Experience builds the AI-powered backend services that power agent-assist tooling on our Astra support surface — helping support agents resolve customer, merchant, and Dasher issues faster. We sit at the intersection of LLM-backed product features and high-volume, latency-sensitive support infrastructure. What you'll do Build and maintain backend services for agent-assist features on Astra, taking on feature-level work with increasing independence. Translate requirements into working code: design the feature-level approach, write an RFC when the change affects other engineers, and implement it end-to-end. Integrate with LLM-backed features — wiring up prompt/completion calls, handling provider responses, and validating output quality and correctness. Break down assigned project work into tasks, provide accurate estimates, and keep your own progress and dependencies on track. Apply AI tooling thoughtfully to your own workflow (coding, testing, review) and critically evaluate its output rather than taking it at face value. Participate in code review — both giving and receiving — to help the team hold a high bar for correctness, quality, and standards compliance. Collaborate with senior engineers and partner teams to clarify problem definitions, unblock yourself, and flag risks or blockers early. What we're looking for Solid backend engineering fundamentals in Go, with experience shipping and maintaining production services. Exposure to LLM-powered features in production (prompt/completion integration, provider APIs) is a plus — we'll ramp you up if you haven't worked with this directly. Ability to independently own feature-level work: from a
