Datadog is entering a new chapter in how our product looks, feels and operates. We're building a small, high-leverage Design Lab team to define that evolution, and we're looking for a Senior Staff Visual Designer to author it. Our design system powers everything we ship. Now we're ready to evolve it. As Datadog expands into AI-driven experiences and more complex product surfaces, the visual language needs to grow with it. This is the role that decides what that language is — someone with taste, judgment, and the confidence to set a direction and defend it. At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them. What You'll Do Define and evolve Datadog’s visual language across product surfaces. Lead exploratory and concept work, creating a range of distinct visual directions for the next generation of the product. Synthesize product context, research, references, and stakeholder input into clear visual principles and a coherent point of view. Establish the quality bar for typography, color, composition, iconography, imagery, motion, and visual expression across the platform. Create high-fidelity product exemplars and prototypes that make an emerging direction tangible. Partner deeply with Brand, Product Design, Motion, and Design Systems to test and refine the direction across different surfaces. Influence executives and senior stakeholders through clear, persuasive visual storytelling. Guide and critique the work of other designers, helping the visual direction remain coherent as it evolves. Help shape how visual exploration, critique, and craft are integrated into Datadog’s design process. You will report directly to the Design Director and work as part of a small, focused team defining the future state before it scales across hundreds of designers and engineers. Who Yo

Datadog AI Research — Scholars Program with Carnegie Mellon University Datadog AI Research (DAIR) is partnering with Carnegie Mellon University to support a small number of PhD students working on open research problems grounded by ongoing efforts at Datadog/DAIR. You will frame a problem, run your own experiments, and write up what you find, with compute and data at a scale most academic labs cannot provide. You will collaborate with colleagues working on the same questions. The Lab And The Research: DAIR is an industrial research lab motivated by practical challenges in observability and software operation: detecting and diagnosing failures, understanding complex production environments, and helping engineers operate software more effectively. The lab focuses on creating specialized foundation models, post-training and evaluating AI agents, and building frontier-scale machine learning systems. By combining fundamental research with Datadog's large-scale, real-world data and infrastructure, the lab develops new AI capabilities and translates them into practical systems with meaningful impact. Internship projects are shaped with your DAIR mentor and your CMU faculty advisor. You do not need prior experience with observability, monitoring, or infrastructure. What You'll Do: Own a research project end to end: framing the question, running the experiments, writing it up Work directly with a DAIR mentor engaged in the same problem, and stay connected to your advisor and lab Publish, and use the work toward your dissertation See research reach production, when it works Who You Are: Currently enrolled in a PhD program at Carnegie Mellon in machine learning, computer science, statistics, or a related field Depth in at least one area relevant to the research above Comfort running real experiments — training models, working with GPUs, reading and reimplementing recent papers Evidence you can do research: conference or workshop papers, preprin

About Ramp Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books. The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving. We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome. The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same. If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it. About the Role The Creative Director for Customer Stories will set the creative standard for the program, leading the charge on how we celebrate the compelling people and businesses building on Ramp. You’ll own the story bar, bringing narrative clarity, and filmmaker-level craft to every project. Your job is to define the program’s creative principles, write the treatments, and direct a bench of filmmakers and animators. You’ll apply deep production knowledge to govern our tiers and actively push to break the mold of traditional B2B “customer stories.” Working closely with our Customer Marketing Lead, who writes the stories and sets the narrative priorities, you bring those stories to life on screen: owning the creative ideation, treatment, and direction. You’ll also work closely with animators and filmmakers, directing them through every shoot and edit. As a creative leader, you’ll set the standard for how Ramp is represented to our customers, partnering across the business to ensure every project meets an exceptionally high bar for craft and story
