Jobiba Market Pulse ยท JBI-1
India Salary Index
A market-level view of how salary-bearing job evidence is moving across reliable role cohorts in India. The index is evidence-weighted, thin months are suppressed, and Jobiba does not turn one unusual listing into a national trend.

Fastest-rising reliable role salaries
Reliable one-year India role comparisons are still building.
Cooling board
Roles with negative 1Y direction
Cooling does not mean a bad career. It means the reliable salary cohort moved lower than its comparable point roughly a year earlier.
No reliable negative one-year cohort is strong enough to publish right now.
Normalize before aggregating
Each reliable role cohort starts at 100 in its first publishable month. That prevents high-paying roles from mechanically dominating lower-paying roles simply because their rupee salary is larger.
Weight evidence, not fame
Role-month contributions are weighted by the square root of their salary sample count. Larger cohorts matter more, but one huge role cannot completely drown out every other market.
Suppress thin periods
A role-month needs at least five observations. The national index month needs multiple role cohorts and a minimum combined evidence base before Jobiba publishes it.
From market index to personal action
The national curve is context. Your role, city and skills decide what it means for you.
Use the market index to see direction, then drill into your own role market, offer economics, city move, negotiation range and live jobs. Jobiba deliberately separates market evidence from guarantees about an individual offer.
